In Feb 2008 My husband and I decided we'd park our RV at a park called Dos Reis located just off of interstate 5 South of Tracy, Ca It looked okay and even though we did not see a camp host for the first two days we were looking forward to the rest from our full time RV travels.
What happened next has left us both bewildered and shocked by a so called no refund policy the park had Well thats fine and great as long as your not running your guests off by yelling and treating them like there two years old, Actually I was ashamed for this lady and wondered what could be causing her to act so rudly and be so hateful, but, soon I became enraged by a so called no refund policy everyone seems bent on inforcing. I cant beleive the conversations that followed my attempts to resolve the issue and get closure.
Not one person I spoke with ever offered an opology let alone an offer to compensate us for the money we were out, No they acted as if our money was being kept because we were some how being taught a lesson. It's crazy at best. We paid $348.00 for two weeks stay at the park and on the third day I could hardly keep my husband still trying to telephone someone in charge was not going to happen after several emails and phone calls and no response, we went ahead and pulled out on the 7th day there The camp host was doing suddenly after I emailed my complaint several intimidating drive bys a day with snarling harsh stares at us as she passed by our site, it was off peek season so the camp ground was 70% empty at least. We would never of left if we did not feel threatened and uncomforable being there.
I felt totally justifed when I finally was able to talk to someone in the offices of Mr. Beadle who at this point has not even aknowledged my plight or emails at all this women who only wanted to inform me of the parks no refund policy left me even more confused, she also stated it was clearly marked at the camp ground. I am sorry but I was not looking for excuses for why they were keeping our hard earned money My husband is 100% disabled service connect veteran and we live on a pension and have to budget our expenses especially traveling. These people just decided they were holding our money hostage and that was that the last gentlman I spoke to the regional director just said SORRY But, we will use your experience for future training of our employees,( What the heck is that crap) I am sorry but you will not keep my money in fact I was only asking they return one weeks stay $174.00 but now I want every single penny we paid, no one deserves to be talked to in a manner of disrepect as we were and since it was the San Joaquin County employee I feel they are all way out of line. I am not going to quit until I am satisfied with the out come I have spent at least 26-30 hours since then on my computer , actually going to Mr. Ogata's office writing the BBB of San Joaquin county who just closed the case the day after I wrote it. What kind of deal is this they all think there above reproach, above the laws of the land, whats right and whats wrong has to prevail. oh by the way I have two page thirty five list of the parks rules and regulations not once does it state a no refund policy...... EVEN THOUGH THAT POINT, IS NOT THE POINT!!!!!!!
