SBC Saginaw ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam Saginaw Michigan

I took over phone service from my mother who is ill. I brought the past due amount up to date leaving the current amount still due, but not passed due. SBC, keeps my long distance access turned off. Why not turn the local service off? They want to inconvenience the customer without it coming out of there pockets since the long distance is in a diferent carriers name. They would be in a hurry to make sure the long distance was active if they were making money on it.
