Attorney Scott A. Conwell name fits him. He cons well. He was suppose to handle an illegal foreclosure case for me in which I am entitle to damages and monies due me. He took $3,000 from me and didn't file one piece of paper with the court in reference to the illegal foreclosure on my home. He also neglected to do what he outlined in the two retainers I signed. I'll tell you more about that later.

Conwell was suppose to file a complaint/counterclaim suing the Laws of Bierman, Geesing, Ward & Wood LLC (read The Baltimore Sun article on this law firm for falsifying documents used to foreclose on homeowners) for breach of contract based on improper foreclosure procedures thus causing me heartache, embarrassment, humiliation, emotional stress, monies due me, legal fees and court costs. I told him this several times in person and in emails I sent to him. He listed the Servicers of an alleged loan amount they said I owe in the second retainer. The reason I sent him emails about suing the illegally foreclosing law firm because I wanted to keep track of our communication as it relates to my case.

Let me let everyone reading this know, this man has several email addresses. They are www.conwellusa.com, info@conwellusa.com and scott@conwellusa.com. The only one I know he responded to was the scott@conwellusa.com at the time of this typing. He tried to deny giving me the info@conwellusa email address.

There is a reason Scott A. Conwell keeps the email address on his business card that most people would assume works. The red flags were he didn't answer my calls for a month or longer, bad email address on his business cards, he didn't cc me email communications between he and the person/s I'm suing, not sending me proof of having filed paperwork with case number soon after I met with him since he said he is getting on it right away, he raised the hourly rate without 30 days notice as he stated in his retainer, etc, etc. When I confronted him and asked for a list on what he has done. He made up a bunch on work he didn't do nor can he prove. Two or three days late, he sent me an email with an accounting of over $5000. I fired him and demanded my money back along with my file. He has yet to do so.

Since I didn't know about the website, I wish I had the presence of mind to drive to the court house and checked.

I can tell you this because I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. I thought I'd finally found an attorney that would help me especially since another attorney referred him. But guess what? I'm not letting him get away with it.

Scott A. Conwell gave me the info email address to communicate with him and never once say it was for prospective clients. I was already a client when he took my money and had me sign the August 30, 2010 retainer.

Because of his dishonesty, I'm in a worst position than when I walked in his office on August 30, 2010.
