I met with Scott and he represented himself as a master carpenter. He designed an office for me. The design was great and every detail was listed. I signed a contract and and gave him 1000 dollars (1/3) with with 1000 to be paid ahlf way through the job and the balance upon completion. We has an issue from the start. He started nailing wood to my walls and it was rough ply wood at that. He assured me he knew what he was doing after all he had done this for years.
WEll....he got half way with that and then said that I need to pick out the granite but that it would cost more money than origionaly expected and he needed the next 1000 dollars because the price of the wood was also costing more. The pices had just gone up. I gave him the money and that was the end of the job. I called and called.....I ha started getting another bid when he called. He came out and spoke with my new master carpenter....his work was falling of the wall due to its own weight. He argued to everyone and refued to refund any money. Scott said that he had lost money and I still owed him.
Everything about him was a lie. I researched and found that he makes his living by ripping people off. I was going to file suit but when you find out that rents his house and does not own a car there is very little to go after.
This happened in 2010. I just read where he is still doing this..I had to say something.

I AGREED AND CONTRACTED TO DESIGN AND BUILD A BUILT IN DESK AND BOOK SHELVES.
SHE AGREED TO THE DESIGN, A PAINT GRADE DESK AND SHELVES.
DURING CONSTRUCTION, MAYBE 70% COMPLETE- SHE ISSUED A WORK STOP.
SHE HAD A ISSUE WITH THE SHELVES BEING INSTALLED, THEY WERE SOLID WOOD SHELVES,
WHICH WOULD BE THE CASE IN A STAIN GRADE PROJECT.
I EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE, SHE DID NOT WANT TO HEAR IT.
SHE SET A MEETING AT THE HOUSE, WHERE SHE ASKED A FRIEND, ANOTHER CONTRACTOR.
HE CAME IN AND GAVE HIS OPINION, WHICH WAS HERS.
THE PROBLEM WAS, THE CONTRACT, WHICH DESIGN-NOR PRICE, REFLECTED STAIN GRADE SOLID WOOD CONSTRUCTION.
I AM ABLE TO CONVERT IT, I WAS WILLING TO PRICE, AND CONSTRUCT, WHATEVER SHE WANTED IT TO BE FINISHED AS.
THE PROBLEM OCCURED WHEN SHE ASSUALTED ME, CUSSED ME, REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO LEAVE HER HOME, AS SHE POKED ME VIOLENTLY IN THE CHEST.
AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE, I WITHDREW FROM THE PROJECT, AND ORDERED ALL STAFF NOT TO RETURN TO THE PROPERTY.
I KEPT THE RECORDED EVENT PRIVATE, BUT I AM AFRAID, HER ACTIONS HERE, DEMAND THE TRUTH TO BE KNOWN.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MAKE A COMMENT ON PEOPLE LIKE THIS, WHO I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH MANY, AS EVIDENCED ON THE RIP OFF REPORT.
SPITEFULL, DEVIANT, OUTRAGOUS PEOPLE, WHO VIOLATE AGREEMENTS, IGNORE CONTRACTS, DICTATE TERMS, AND MOVE TO DESTROY PEOPLE THROUGH THE MANY PATHS OF CHARACTER ASSANATION SITES LIKE THIS ONE, WHERE ONES WORD IS USED AGAINST ANOTHER.
PUT "CONTRACTOR" IN FRONT OF "STOLE MY MONEY" AND THE DIE IS CAST. THESE PEOPLE WILL SPEND THIER FREE TIME TO MOVE ONTO THE WEB, TO LIE, COERCETHE FACTS, MISREPRESENT THE EVENT, DECIEVE THE CONSUMER OF THESE SITES INTO A HATEFUL RAGE, THUS DESTROY BUSINESS AND LIVES, LIFETIME WORK, TO WIN IN THE END.
