I manage an apartment complex. We have a coin operated dryer that needed a timer replaced. We found Scotty's in the phone book and gave them a call. They showed up on October 31st. They had stated that we needed a new timer kit, rollers and belts. They said they would order the parts and come back. We were told that we needed to pre-pay for the parts. They quoted us $367.00 and we gave them a check. We needed this problem fixed immediately for our tenants.

Many days later....they returned with the parts. They had the dryer taken apart when my husband and myself noticed they were drunk. We walked out to their truck and sure enough on the floor board of the vehicle were empty whiskey bottles and beer cans. They changed out the timer and said that now we did not need the rollers or belts and they would be issuing a check for a refund on the parts the next day.

The timer was only giving us 10 minutes of dry time. Called them every day until November 9th. They showed up @ 6:30pm drunk. They said that Maytag told them--the only way to set the time on the timer was to spray the cylinder with WD40. They did just that. They told me if the time didn't adjust to call them. I called the next morning @ 9:45am. Scotty's speech was slurred and mumbled so bad I couldn't understand him.

I called everyday again. Finally on November 19th I spoke to Scotty and told him to come pick up all of these parts and I wanted my money back. He seemed surprised to hear that the timer was not working properly. Stated that a refund was "not a problem."

This is now the middle of February. I have called every single day only to hear sob stories about how his brother was in the hospital, his mother was dying, he had a heart attack, his bookkeeper is on vacation and he isn't allowed to write a check....blah,blah,blah. They have continuously lied to us and still have yet to refund anything to us. Today, February 12th I called and threatened legal measures. Supposedly he will be bringing my money in 2 days. I won't hold my breath !!! My dryer still broken--I am fed up.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are dishonest. You have no morals or values. To rip people off and run your business the way you do...You have NO ethics. You make me sick. But I do take comfort in the fact that I know Karma will catch up with you. When it does....you deserve everything you have coming.

For anyone out there who needs HVAC or Appliance Repairs done....BEWARE !!! DO NOT HIRE THESE BROTHERS !!! They cannot be trusted.
