Sea & Air Internationsl Cargo - Idan Ohan ripoff on Shipping Company of North Miami Beach Florida, Shipped Goods and did not pay the Shipping Line despite having been paid by me up front. North Miami Beach Florida

I used Sea & Air International Cargo out of North Miami Beach Florida to move my personal household goods from Houston, Texas to Panama. I paid the agreed amount for door to door shipping up front.

After a delay of two weeks they said the Shipping Line had problems - they shipped my goods but after the container arrived in Panama they did not pay the Shipping Company despite promising me daily by email that it was simply an oversight in accounting After 10 days the Shipping Company started to charge me $50 a day storage fees.

Sea & Air of Miami used a company called Eurovan Movers and a man called Rene Perez as their Forwarding Agent in Panama. Perez convinced me that the only way I was going to get my cargo was if I paid the Shipping Line to release the cargo. This necessitated that I pay $2,890.00 to the Shipping Line and Eurovan Movers to complete the transaction.

Eurovan Movers then proceeded to move my goods from the container to an old truck and delivered it to me at my home. I lost a total of 16 boxes of personal goods plus incurring serious damage to many items.

After many weeks of promises and silence from Sea & Air I visited Sea & Air in Miami. I know from the reaction I received at the offices that everyone involved knew exactly what was going on. Idan Ohan never materialized but I did mange to convince a man named Dan - who I was told was in charge of accounting - to refund the $2,890.00.

Having visited the offices I have no doubt in my mind that this company exists solely for fraudulent purposes. The offices consist of two filthy unkempt upstairs rooms in a sleazy off ice building and I know that had I not dropped in I would never have recovered my money. I spoke to the people at the Court House in Miami Dade and was told I was not alone but that the chances of me recovering anything were slim. I also spoke to Miami Dade Police and was told it was civil matter Caveat emptor (Buyer beware)
