In JAN 2009 I purchased a Sea Fox 236 Center Console at the boat show. I put down 50 % deposit and I did not receive the boat until 6 months later. When I finally received the boat and went to view it at the dealer, the cushions were different from what I saw at the boat show, much cheaper looking. I immediately called Sea Fox and they told me, " these are new cushions, old ones are out of stock" When we took the shrink wrap off of the boat, there were scratches EVERYWHERE. It appeared that the boat had been used because of the scratches on hull and console, different cushions and fish smell in the live well.

Now I find out that Sea Fox has changed the company name three times. It was first Legacy, then Sea Era , and now it's called Sea Fox. Is this to avoid warranty liability? Something is wrong here..

En la JAN 2009 compr un Zorro del Mar 236 Consola Central en la exposicin del barco. Dejo 50 % el depsito y yo no recibieron el barco hasta 6 meses ms tarde. Cundo yo por ltimo recib el barco y fui a verlo en el comerciante, los cojines fueron diferentes de lo que vi en la exposicin del barco, mirar mucho ms barato. Llam inmediatamente el Mar Zorro y ellos me dijeron, "stos son nuevos cojines, los viejos estn agotados" Cuando tomamos el encogimiento envuelve lejos del barco, haba rasguos POR TODAS PARTES. Pareci que el barco haba sido utilizado a causa de los rasguos en el casco y la consola, el olor diferente de cojines y pez en el vivo bien.

Ahora averiguo que Zorro de Mar ha cambiado el nombre de la compaa tres veces. Fue primero Legado, entonces Era de Mar, y ahora ha llamado el Mar Zorro. Es esto evitar obligacin de garanta? Algo est equivocado aqu..

   I work for Sea Fox Boat Co. and would be glad to help you sort out the issues with your boat. I have reason to believe your post is a hoax as we do not have a registration under your name in our owner database.

   Please forward me your hull ID number, address, and the name of the dealer the boat was ordered with. If you are being sincere, you will have no problem posting this on compaint filed.

   There is a lot of information on the online forums, and some is more valuable than others. Our company began manufacturing boats in 1996 under the Legacy badge and switched to our Sea Era badge in 1999. In each instance, we changed our names at the request of the the boating industry (Legacy Yachts and Cierra boat models manufactured by Bayliner) - and the change had nothing to do with our warranty. In fact, the warranty packages sold with our Legacy and Sea Era boat lines is still honored by our company.

   Over the years, we dedicated ourselves to continual improvements and have worked very diligently towards becoming a mid-level manufacturer. Our core principle is to build a quality boat for a good value - and every improvement our company has made has improved the quality of our boats while limiting the cost of the added-value to our consumers. If your Sea Fox purchase did not live up to our standards, we need to know about it.

   We coordinate rolling production changes into our boats every model year. This typically includes a cushion upgrade or re-styling. The new cushions for the 2010 year have been met with compliments from customers and dealers alike. If you were sold one with the 2009 accents, I would be glad to work with your dealer to replace your cushions.
