Search Engine Setup Dot Com Small business owner trying to get website on search engines ripped off $300 by this company, no way to contact, no reply to emails unknown in Florida Florida

The week of May 16th I received at least 4 calls from Search Engine Setup Dot Com, even though I too am on the Government Do Not Call List. I had talked with a friend of mine who had told me that since I am trying to set up a small business in small town, going with a search engine optimization company was not a bad idea.

 I had no idea this company was a rip-off (guess I am just too trusting). They said for $399.95 they could put my website out there on all search engines, especially local ones. I said that was too much money. the gave me a promo code, then said with the promo code they could knock the price down to $300 (which is about what my friend, who had done this before said it would cost). I asked them if it was a one time fee, they said "Yes", I asked "There will be no monthly maintenance charges, right?" They said "No, of course not, only the one time fee" (they lied of course). 

 I said "You will send me a confirmation email of course for this transaction, right?" they said "Yes" I gave them my email address. Of course I never got a confirmation. On May 16th, $300 was removed from my bank acount, no email, only an 800 number to call. I called it. It was just a message machine, "All our agents are busy at the moment, please leave your name and phone number and we will call you shortly." I called that number 2 days in a row. On the 2nd day threatened to take legal action if I did not hear form them in 24 hours - nothing, not a ring, not an email, silence. I have emailed their sales team, am expecting the same.

I agree with the guy from Arizona, I am sure there are more of us that have been ripped off by this company, so I not only suggest a class action law suit; for all the good it will do - I intend to report this matter to the FBI internet fraud division, since they do have an up and running website and are breaking the DO NOT CALL rules.
