Sears was the only place that was still open at night after work on Thursday 1-17-2013. I went to them to ask if they could change my tires and check alignment the next day 1-18-13. I was very clear that I am not able to bring my car since I will be working late hours the next day 1-18-13 and I need to have the car ready for a road trip on 1-19-13 early in the morning.

I did assure that Tim sales person understood that my dad does not speak English and he will have to bring the car the next day 1-18-2013. He was informed and aware that my dad does not speak English and I made it very clear that I need my tires and alignment checked and done prior my road trip the following day. He quoted for everything $336.45

My dad also wanted to keep the old tires, he wanted back for his project. Tim said that would be no problem since he will be working the next day and he would remember to give it back.

The next day my dad went to sears with my car to do the work. I wrote on the paper to remind Tim to give back the old tires to my dad, and check the headlights since I was planning to drive ~400 miles each way over the weekend (1-19-13 & 1-20-13) since I noticed that my headlights did burned out in the evening. I wrote everything in English on the copy of work order because my dad would not be able to communicate.

When I came back from work around 8 pm on 1-18-13 my dad stated that they changed the tires quickly and put the car outside in less than one hour.

After changing tires the sales person wrote in pen:

"-Did not check alignment
-suggest based on tire wear 79.99 if you decide to bring back 
-we will still check for free"

My dad did ask about the old tires and Tim pointed out to a number 79.99 my dad thought that he needed to pay for the old tires $79.99 in addition to already paying $20 to install headlight which my dad purchased on his own. Bill showed $6 to install bulb, no change was given back. Maybe my dad does not understand the language but surely he can count....

My dad was very disappointed to see such poor service especially since I did pay in full $336.45 the evening before.  He was very upset that they promised to give back the old tires and they did try to charge for them the next day.

I do not understand why the alignment was not checked and why I needed to go back there to waste more time.  I am unsure if they did not tell the truth at first and now were trying to add additional charges?

I would not recommend this place to anybody since they are treating their customers like they do not know anything. Cheating and lying is a sure way to lose customers.

I am very upset and disappointed customer since I had to cancel my road trip. Now when my dad returns back home he will share the story about his bad experience in American Sears Auto Center. This is not just local bad reputation, it will spread globally.
