Mu husband and I decided to go with Sears for our cabinet refacing because of their Money Back Guarantee, 100% satisfied logo. They made so many promises of what they were going to do when they came to give the estimate. Everything seemed so easy. I have a below average kitchen in size, and they still charged $7000. We were approved for the 12 months 0% interest program.
The contractors came to do the work.

After 1 day, it was HORRIBLE. I contacted our project coordinator (what a joke!!), he did come out and the job was re-started from scratch. However, this time, there was no prep work done. They never covered my existing appliances, never sealed off the kitchen where they were working, and definately did not clean up after themselves!!!! Now I have glue EVERYWHERE... on the walls, in my dishwasher, on my stove, in the ceramic tile backsplash, the floor, shelving, you name it, I have glue there!!! I have shavings from the cabinetry in my carpet, in my dishwasher and in all of my furniture!!!!

Did I mention that I had this refacing jon in February and it is April and they have had to come out to fix the molding twice already??? I have contacted the customer service #'s that they give you and also placed my account in dispute. After 2 months of nothing, but bills ($112 interest and oh yeah, $35 late fees on a 0 interest for 1 yr deal) I still have not gotten anything resolved. I did however contact the District Manager at Sears. They have started an investigation into my claims. There was an investigator that came out this morning to take pictures, etc...He tells me that no one ever documented any of the calls at the service center or at billing. They tell me that the only way to file a complaint with Sears is to call the Corporate Office because your local dealers to not want them to know that they are receiving complaints.

I will not give up on this. I feel that, with all the work that I have had to do to clean up their messes and the hassles that we have had to deal with we should not have to pay the full price. I WILL NEVER recommend Sears to anyone!!!!
