Sears sold me a warranty and would not hounor it Bridgeview Illinois
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: ...
I brought a lawn mower at sear and right out of the box i started it up and it would not fuction after mowning my front lawn. The repair center i took it to said they will not repair it as i personally bent the crank shaft.
How can i bend a crank shaft? Why did the store tell me the warranty covers everything no matter what it was or how it was done?
They want me to pay another $131.00 ( I paid $226.00 for the machine and warranty) for repairs to a machine i have a warranty on that should repiar the machine for me.
Sears sells you a defective machine then makes you buy a warranty then make you pay for any malfuctions of the machine.

First off, it always pays to read the FINE print on any document you obtain. I know you should have received a slip of paper with your receipt detailing what the Repair agreement covers. It does not cover abuse... stated in black and white. Now my question for you is did you run over any tree stumps? Because if you did not do any of that and you indeed did receive a faulty product then I would go into your Sears store you bought the lawn mower from ask to speak to the Store manager. I have often seen associates lie to sell the Protection/Repair agreements because those make up a large portion of an associates paycheck. Not only that our jobs hinge on the line if our numbers are down. If this associate did indeed tell you it would cover ANYTHING no matter HOW it occurred then I would say you have a fairly strong case on your hands to get either a refund on the repair agreement which you can get at anytime by calling 18004694663. Or you can go in talk to the manager of the store and get a new mower.
