     I called Sears on-line to order a TV as their internet site was not working properly. I was told by an agent that I would definitely get the TV before Thanksgiving.  I was also told that shipping was free as stated on the internet site and was also told that if I bought it "today" that she, the customer service agent, would give me a 2-year guarantee and a $30.00 coupon.  So, I agreed to the sale.   She was supposed to confirm this by email, but did not.

     By the first week of December the TV had not arrived, and after many phone calls. huge waiting times and people switching me off to several other departments I was told the TV was on the way. One particular agent checked the information for me and he told me that the TV was refurbished, there was no two year warranty given to me and no $30 coupon--all lies!!!! 

     After many, many frustrating conversations with agents, supervisors and managers I wsa told to refuse the shipment when it arrived as they could not cancel it.  I did this, and then told them I wanted a total refund. After many days and many more Sears conversations with Sears agents, I was told they would, over time, get me the refund but I was told not for the full amount!!! I was given a number of a lesser amount than I paid and that I would have to pay shipping charges too. What a total disgrace!! 

     Not only did sales people lie, but they even said they would call me back on several occasions but never did!!  I had to keep calling them.  I was also told they would send me e-mails regarding the fact that after dozens of hours, they would give me an offer.  The email conformations never came, until about the 10th agent and more than one week,  finally agreed to give me my money back bu again it was not for the entire amount until I pressed my case.  I was livid with this horrible customer service!!

     I could go on and on but you get the point!  DO NOT shop at Sears online as you could run into a problem and it could take you many, many agonizing hours getting someone who is willing or able to help you.  And don't believe the "free shipping" deal as it did no exist for me even though it says free shipping for items over $59 right on their web site! So both the sales agents and the company's advertizing lies to the public!!!

There are many reputable retailes--Sears is NOT one of them. hopefully I get my money back. But i can never trust Sears again!

UPDATE on "Sears Lies..."

     This ripoff by Sears has gone on since the end of 2014 and Sears continues to do nothing about ripping off a Senior Citizen.  Their agents tell you that they will fix the problem and then you never hear from them and noting happens. As a 34 year member f Sears I will never read their flyers or do business with them again. Here is an excerpt of one of my letters about Sears.

     Basically, they sent me a refurbished TV that I didn't order and charged me for what was supposed to be a new TV with"free shipping" even though they told me not to accept the shipment and there would be no charge. I did not accept it (as I saw "REFURBISHED" on the package and they still charged me on my credit card. They told me they would fix it and pay me what they owed me for the TV and also send me a free $30 coupon and remove the credit card charges charges--several agents told me this.  It never happend!  Management then lied to me too about fixing the whole situation--it never happened either and this has gon on for two years.  Just horrible management policies and slick agents whose employee #'s I previosly have posed. EJJ

Sears horrible customer service and rip-offs

UPDATE:

Here is the continuing saga of Sears and their rip-off customer service and case manger liars. Basially, they take advantage of Senior Citizensand others by telling us lies, and refusing to honor monetary returns as stated by each and every customer sevice person and case managers.

Briefly, since December 2014 (as previously posted) they have owed me $48 for shipping me the wrong TV, along with a $30 gift certificate for putting me through a dozen phone calls with customer service liars--see names and employee I.D. numbers in my original report.  I was told not to accept the TV and I did not, as the box said "Refurbished TV" with a price increase I never agreed to. You can read all about this terrible scam by their customer service people and Case manager in my original post entitled "Sears Sears Unfair Practicesand Lies Internet.  Each customer person tells you what you want to hear then never email's you as they said they would. Nor do you get anything they said they would send to you--$$ nor the gift certificate they promised. I was a Sear customer for over 30 years but now will never give them my business.  They have gone from great years ago to the new HORRIBLE Sears Scam Company. Boycott them!!!

Update on Sears LIES

Sears customer service people are trained to tell you that you are correct with your compaint and they will pay you back for overcharging you, for sending you the wrong product and even charging you for shipping the wrong item.  Here are some of the liers:  Cassidy employee number719336; Cherry#524538; Irish #838769; and craig who would not give me his employee #.  I am a senior citizen who just wants to be treated fairly but Sears does not care about its customers.  I have been a Sears customer for over 35 years.  They were great in the past, but they are horrible liars now (read my previous posts). They owe me a total of $48, every time they tell me they will pay me, but it never happens.

DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!  Sears should go out of business as they are ripping their customers off!!!!!!!!!

Sears lies!!!!

Continuing with my story on getting ripped off by Sears. Called 2/16/2015 to ask about my shipping fee that was supposed to be free and the $30 gift certificate that Philip, a manager, promised me. He said I'd get it within 7 days.  Of course it never came!! Called back today and eventually got to a supervisor , Craig.  He said he had no record of all of my conversations wth Jessie employee "398339, Cassidy #719336, IYA, Phillip, mamagr  and others. 

Either Craig, case manager lied today or someone purged the files.  This has gone on since November 23, 2014.  He said he would not be able to go back and find the calls I made--more lies.This is just outrageou8s customer servie with more lies by everyone you talk to.  I am ripping up my Sears card of 40 years membership. Sears is the RIOPOFF site--what a shame that they have changed so horribly for the worst!! Warning, do not shop online with Sears!!

Sears lies and never pays off as agreed

Call Sears and customer service people and supervisors tell you that they were wrong to charge you shipping on a TV over $59.00 as is stated on their on-line site, but the check never comes.  You order a NEW TV and they send you a refurbished one!!! They tell you to refuse it and they will give you all of your money back--all lies!! They say they will give you a $25 gift certificate within 7 days--more lies. This has been going on before Thanksgiving and promises to deliver before Thanksgiving were more lies.  They even lied about an extra discount--more lies!!! 

Shop online and if you have a problem all you will get for customer service are trained liars!!!!  Beware of these crooks--Sears is not at all like it used to be!! BEWARE!!!! This is my third report.

Update Sears Ripoff Update

Well, I spoke with Phillip a supervisor mid-December and he assured me I would get back $18.51 that I was erroneously charged for the "free" shipping on the T.V. that I bought. And now it was supposed to be taken off my American Express in 3-5 days--more lies by a Sears employee.  He aso told me I would get a $25 gift certificate--as he confirmed that in the notes on file by a parevious employee that Sears should have mailed it to me weeks ago, it never was mailed.  This time I was told I'd get the certificate no later thatn 7-10 days.

Once again, it has not arrived. From what I'v read from others who have similar fraudulent complaints about Sears, scams are a common practice at Sears--stay away unless you need to get your blood pressure raised.  Sears is not the store it used to be, and the employees will lie without blinking an eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shafted again!!
