Phil Fischer, owner of Seattle Software Developers, has to be one of the best and most prolific and egotistical scam artists I've met in the web development industry. Always leaning on his background in music and religion, he name drops as though he's had lunch with Steve Jobs and Bill Gates on a regular basis. One of his biggest faux pas was to exaggerate that his office was on the Microsoft campus when in infact, it's a post office box inside a UPS store.

Waving his Google "Bubble" badge at us during every Go To Meeting, Fischer has no issue pumping his proverbial ego about his success, who he knows and the 1000s of websites he's built. He states he has built over 3,000 websites that are incredibly successful. He even told us recently he built the GoPro.com website which he did not. As a matter of fact, all the sites on Phil's Seattle Software Developers website were built by him for his businesses. Even the domain names are all registered in his name. Phil has even gone so far as to use his 86-year-old father-in-law as a testimonial on his site along with his wife Jamael and his mother Sharon. He knows no limits when it comes to using family to promote his business and spin a web of untruths about his clientele.

Where are all the testimonials for the 3,000+ websites he's built? There aren't any, because it was all a lie.

Now, 12 weeks late, two custom built websites projects in the toilet and $60k later, I have two clients that do not have websites and Phil has nothing but excuses for not finishing. Most of his excuses blame others for not doing his work as promised in his proposal. Phil sold one of my clients a secondary domain name for $10K which we are now certain he purchased for $12.99. Do not buy a domain name from this man for any reason.

As we were trying to complete the websites, Phil fires the project manager. However, he uses the project manager's email to respond to me that he has decided to quit out of frustration because of me. Later, when I contacted the ex-project manager he said Phil fired him. He went into the office one morning and Phil told him to clean out his desk. Phil has no boundaries to his storytelling to protect himself; up-end ongoing projects and push the blame out to others. Phil has not hired a new project manager to complete these projects because now he wants more money.

Phil then says he's completely underwater on these projects and though they were bid in a signed proposal, he has to have another $14K to complete one site and another $24K to complete the other.  When I reviewed the backend system I was blown away. One website was built in Wordpress and has three $59 third party plugins added. For this site, my client has already paid $30k. The most expensive WP site I've ever seen and it looked like about 3 days of work with a big dose of duplicate content from previous websites.

The other practice I believe Phil to be in involved in is reselling partially built websites in hopes of making additional income on half-baked sites. You will see this listed on his site under "Projects For Sale".

Collectively, my clients feel it's high time this man and his company are exposed for the shoddy work they do and the money the steal from people. Phil Fischer should not be in business taking people's money and not deliverying final, finished websites. Instead he takes credit for projects he had nothing to do with.
