If you show the slightest interest in their services they are on you like crazy. They call you and tell you that they have a buyer for your boat and that you must pay their fee asap or the buyer will buy something else. They pressure you relentlessly, the emails they send are obnoxious and slightly frightening. I am very offended and have never posted anything about any website in my life - but I felt the need to take time away from my life to possibly save someone else from this very unpleasant interaction! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES WHATEVER YOU DO!! THEY TELL LIES TO GET OUR MONEY AND IF YOU DONT PAY THEY HARASS YOU!

With the last comment, just like all other positive comments about sellyourboatnow.com, is by one person.  Just as I obtained a new user name, that one person goes by many names, but it is the same idea that propagandist's have used for centuries.  Tell enough untruths until people start believing it's true.  I haven't forgotten the harassing, threatening malevolent obsessive emails they sent me.  I can only infer that such a person spends all of their creative energy on finding new ways to sucker people out of their money or information.  In my OPINION If they ever sold a boat, maybe it was their own dingy.  I suspect that the bulk of the profits are from luring unsuspecting rubes (people that are naive) into giving out their financial information or paypal account email addresses.  Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid people like this.  These guys are who your Great Grand Pa warned you about when they told you about Jack and the beanstalk.  The shady bean salesman also sells boats.  I suspect that boats is only one of the tools he uses to get his income, RV's, Planes, Limo's and other websites are great ways to build up an email database to sell to consumer agencies for you Viagra emails and other spam emails.  None of these people will ever go to court with this guy, because it would shed light on his dealings.  Keep up the good fight and keep reporting scam artists on the web and in your cities.  Fraudulent means of coercion is unacceptable in any form, including threats of defamatory lawsuits that will never happen.  I'm looking forward to the response to this from "Joe Schmoes in Pawtucket, Idaho that found a real 'Go Get'er' with www.sellyourboatnow.com"  Sorry guy, we're not buyin it and if anyone googles your name or number, they are going to find ripoffreport.com
Sincerely,
The Wrong Guy

Sellyourboatnow is NOT a scam - This report is wrong!

I sold a $40,000 boat with that site in the middle of this recession, when the classified ads I had been running were taking over a year to get anything going.

Yes, those guys were definitely aggressive when they follow up called and emailed me. But that I believe is also why the boat was sold! Do I want a website that is selling my boat for me to be passive? No! I appreciated that those guys made sure they reached me by phone and email, notified me that they had a guy in the area they thought would be interested in my boat, and forced me to think and move quickly. If I had not taken them seriously (as you obviously didn't) I would not have sold my boat!

So concerning yourself with pleasantries seems to me to be a silly thing to do, when you have money on the line, and they had a buyer.

And the way I found their site to begin with was because a friend of a friend at work, sold his boat in NJ through them, also in less than a few weeks.

That site rules. They are definitely hard asses. But they get the job done. And that is what I am looking for. People who can get the job I hire them to do, done!

Ben - New York
