In violation of Penal Code, this company sold a puppy at only 7 weeks, 3 days.  We did not know, but as breeders they did, that separation of a puppy from his mother and littermates at such a young age results in behaviorial problems, including agreesion and biting.  They sold the puppy too early to save costs and make more profit of of the animal - to the extreme detriment of the animal and its owners.  They played on our emotions. They refused to negotiate on price and sold the animal for $3,500.  The next day her brothers were reduced in price to $2,000.

A few weeks later we experienced behavioral issues with the puppy.  My wife received a bleeding bite for which she required medical attention.  When we complained to the breeder, they said it was our fault, essentially, we should take the dog to puppy training.  The puppy had not had all of its shots, however, and could not be around other dogs. They knew this.  The training issue was a ruse, they knew the issue was caused because they separated the dog from its littermates and mother too young.  We have since discovered extensive literature on this.

They tried to make us think we were the problem, however, and stated that they could only refund approximately 40% of the purchase price. They demanded the original AKC certificate too.  They lied and told us that "used" dogs like this could only be sold for $1500.  They lied and said they had already found a family for the dog.  The next day the dog was on e-bay classifieds for $2500 with photographs taken the day we returned the dog.

When we wrote a letter and sent a few emails expressing our displeasure, and informing them that we were considering legal options, Greg Fernances, the co- owner, of Mega-Financial fame, used his caller id spoofing technique to try to intimidate us with a spate of harassing phone calls. The calls stopped as soon aw we told him we know it was him and that the police had been called.

These dog breeders were untruthful and falsely represented facts to con us out of $2,,000 and to subject my wife to unecessary injury.
