I have discovered Servicenet, honors extended warranty for Sony, is not there to fix your device but in my opinion to deny as many claims as possible and NOT honor your contract. My extended warranty was running out on my $300.00 voice recorder and called what I thought was Sony but really Servicenet. The battery door always falls opens resulting in the batteries falling out and the machine stopping. At 1st advised cosmetic not mechanical issue so not covered. Not sure how a door always opening and the batteries falling out is not mechanical.

Called back and they stated may not be cosmetic but would then be classified as a non functional part, thus not covered. I always thought you needed batteries to make it function. Overall, doing every thing they could not to cover the problem. Also, poor volume. First call they stated they would fix the volume issue but second call stated would not be covered since I said the problem has been a long term problem. However, could not tell me were in the contract is says not covered but would not cover the issue. YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR READERS TO BEWARE OF SERVICE CONTRACTS WITH SERVICE NET. Seems Third party company hired to refuse customers not honor extended warranty contracts.

Well maybe we should also read up on service net. It is not a repair shop it is a a call center that covers warrenties. So as far as the problem being with service net I think there is a proublem with the repair shop that was sent for the t.v. I think everone needs to read the warrenties, even the small print. No matter what the sells people tell you about warrenty read it for yourself. Most sells people get a % of there sells so they could tell you whatever they want to sell that product and the warrenty.

Everone bashes service net not knowing there only talking to you about the problem with your item they cannot fix the proublem nor can they offer more then the small print of the warrenty says. So everone that seems to think there calling the company that made the item need to ask who there talking to. Because a company alot of times will not honor there on warrenty they sell them off. So service is only doing there job as a call center.
