A Jura espresso machine was dropped off at the business for evaluation of a malfunction.  We were never told that there would be a fee for evaluation or what the fee for that would be, only that they would let us know what the cost of parts and repairs would be.  There is no charge for evaluation listed on their website.  They told us over the phone that the repairs and parts would exceed $900, probably not worth it, but that they would keep the machine in trade and offer us $200 towards a new machine from them.  We looked at the machines on their website and compared the prices to those offered by other companies. The company's prices were comparatively quite high even with the trade.  We asked them if they would match the lower prices and they said because of their "high quality technical support" they couldn't do a match.  They told us if we didn't buy one of their machines we could have our machine back for $65.00 "diagnosis" fee plus shipping, if we chose to have it shipped.  Or we could in their words "abandon it" with them for "no charge."
