In August of 2006 I experienced a great amount of water damage due to water leaking from a wall attached between my bedroom and bathroom. I contacted my Insurance company and they recommended Servpro. I called them and they sent over a very slick guy named Jeremy. I hired Servpro to go into the wall to determine the damage and replaster the walls and recarpet the bedroom. They found that the showerpan was leaking and the entire shower had to be ripped out and a new shower pan installed complete with all new tile etc. I tried to speak to the plummer they hired to ask him questions while he was working but he was very elderly and spoke no english. I was concerned at that time that he may not have a license but figured since the insurance company had recommended them they must know what they are doing. When they were almost finished with the job I was informed by the very rude Jeremy that they could not track down my bathroom sink, cabinet or the faucet and knobs. They ended up purchasing another set to replace the ones they lost but the faucet and knobs were just cheap ones and not as nice as the ones they lost. The shower leaked once I started using it and water did not seem to drain properly. I wrote a couple of letters of complaint to them. Jeremy said that the water standing was normal and they did send a plummer over to fix the leak at the time but that was it.

Now it is April of 2011 and I again have a leak in the same place. I contacted servpro and they say yes you have a leak but that is not our fault since we have a one year warranty. I have called a plummer who has now ripped open the wall and as he told me initially the shower was not put in according to code it did not have the proper slope on it and that has caused water to leak in between the tiles and into the walls and I now have the same problem due to the fact that the shower floor was not put in correctly! They never pulled a permit or an inspection done on the work! I have tried to put in a complaint with everyone up the chain of command including their corporate headquarter to no avail. I am now having to go through my insurance company again and have to again come up with another $1,000 deductable. My insurance company will go after them for my deductable and for the cost of all repairs but that doesn't help me now! This company is a scam!! All they do is hire a lot of cheap, cheap labor to do all the work. They are not much of a General Contractor as the people like Jeremy who are in management positions don't seem to know anything about construction. All they do is hire cheap subs who do not know what they are doing and refuse to stand by their work. Do not hire this company for anything. You will do better to hire a General Contractor who has the knowledge and stands by his work.
