First of all I couldn't find the correct address for this company because they hide their actual address, probably because of all the unhappy people who they report on.

I had a lease end vehicle report done and the inspector eventually turned up after re-scheduling twice because of personal issues. He then proceeded to write down every wax line, water mark and dirt mark he could find, eventually handing me a bill for $1800 on a one year old, spotless car, with only 5000 miles on it.

The inspector replied saying that they "won't charge for any of this anyway" I asked him to remove most of the items off and he re-iterated that it won't make any difference because there is a wear and tear allowance. He had already printed the report but said that he would remove some of the dirt and wax marks, but guess what, he didn't.

I argued with the lease company and their response was to get the blemishes / scratches fixed. But in order to show that enything was fixed you have to show a receipt. How do you show a repair receipt for something that a bucket of water and a cloth will remove.

I returned the vehicle to the dealership where they confirmed that there was no damage to the vehicle and received a mileage and damage free report but I still got invoiced by the lease company and had to pay $800 because they give you a $1000 allowance for "wear and tear".

Obviously this inspector was having a bad week or something and decided to take it out on someone. You have absolutley no say in what they report good or bad. And there is no recourse. Beware, have a witness, and do not sign anything that is handed to you.
