I sent this breeder shady grove bullmastiffs my deposit for a puppie on 8-2013 for the fall breeding...her litter didn't come she said if you will wait and bear with me till spring I will give you your deposit back if no puppies come I agreed but no puppies came in the spring of 2014. I have waited almost a year at this point I ask her to give me my deposit. I didn't think it was my problem if your dogs can't have pups. The latest and greatest is...during this time she purchased another dog that has a litter that she wants me to take one from. My contract clearly states the sire and the dam I have picked it also says fall 2013 so after you have lied to me... And clearly not going to keep your word and give me my deposit you want me to agree to take one of the 13 pups you now have, from a dog I didn't pick. That is breech of contract if I have ever seen it. Do not get a dog from here and never ever send anyone money that does not have pups already born and have at least ten days of life.

After the report I filed shady grove contacted me by email saying she would now send me half of my deposit back just to end our dis agreement well....I haven't received one penny. In my experience with this kennel they have no integrity they do not keep their word or follow through with their promises. The female I chose can no longer have puppies...she told me this herself so if you can not produce a puppy from the female I picked your not holding up your end Of our deal. 

 

Do not never never ever send money until there are puppies born AND...they have minimum of ten days of life. I have spoken to several breeders of different breeds the same breed and that is how they operate  and one said to me I don't feel comfortable taking anyone's money until then because it protects me and the potential buyer.  Breeders with integrity are compassionate about the breed they are breeding and care about and work toward having good repor with potential buyers. 

Have an attorney get involved I know that may sound a little extream we work to hard for our money to get ripped off by a breeder. If they will lie to one potential buyer they will lie to them all.

This person signed a contract that clearly stated "All deposits and monies are non-refundable", dated 1/10/2014. Sent a deposit in 2013 which I said I would rather wait til closer to delivery date. She insisted that she wanted a puppy and wanted pick male of the litter and sent a $200 deposit and a month later a $300 deposit. The breedings did not take. I have 8 other families that have also patiently waited and paid deposits and signed the same contract. Funny thing to me they are still getting puppies from me and were happy to wait for a quality dog.

My contract also states "as with any breed, unforeseen things happen that are out of our control. If the unforeseen should happen, Shady Grove Bullmastiffs will carry over deposits and any other payments to the next available litter." I have kept her up to date and have offered her a puppy that is more expensive than the litter she was waiting for, honoring the previous agreed upon amount. So she complains that I didn't hold up my end of the deal???? I have done everything my contract states I will do in this situation. Non-refundable means you don't get that deposit back but your deposit is carried over to the next available litter! How much clearer does it need to be????

Instead of dealing with me, she gets on her computer and files a ridiculous complaint because she doesn't know how to read a contract before she signs it; not my problem. I've tried to work with her, but honestly, I wouldn't  place one of my puppies in her home now anyway! Grow up and don't try to degrade other people because of your own ignorance. This is a futile attempt on her part and quite childish! Good luck to any other breeder that has to deal with her!!
