Stay as far away from this breeder as possible. She will tell you whatever you want to hear until she gets your money. I am the owner of four small chihuahua females and one very large sick male. I purchased my male from Shannon despite my better judgment for an insane amount of money. I had been looking for a year for my perfect little male stud. I had only planned on having one male because with more I would have to keep my males caged to be sure whom was breeding with my girls. She advertised an extra tiny tiny solid white male with eyes that would stay blue because his father was also white with blue eyes and very small. The day I saw him I put a $500 deposit down and signed a contract without really reading it ( my stupidity). The terms of the contract alone are insane. Example: If puppy dies while still in her care no refund.
Three weeks and 3,500 dollars later I meet her at a gas station and pick up my little guy. He has liquid diaharria and immediately take him to the vet. Take him to vet once a week for four weeks to get rid of two types of worms. This should never happen if the dog is dewormed as a puppy by the breeder. I have never bought or sold a pup with worms because they are given the correct meds at a young age. Now another thousand dollars later(vet bills) and three months later, I have a male that is already larger than my females, that is not solid white, does not have blue eyes, neither parent is white and need to get him neutered because it is unsafe for my females to try to carry such large puppys. A week after I got him I had to use a friend's phone to talk to her because she was screening her calls and wouldn't return a call coming from my #. (She must have thought it was a new potential victim). This lady has no ethics. She reminds me of a used car salesman. It just never occurred to me that she was so dishonest. I accept my responsibility for being a sucker. This is the first negative review that I have ever written about anyone but her dishonesty and lack of ethics just keep eating at me. She doesn't care about her dogs if she doesn't give the necessary meds. Breeding dogs is just one big cash cow to her. Beware of this woman.

I feel I need to update my initial complaint against Shannon of Tiny Paws and Claws. My judgement of her was premature. She was genuinely distressed and concerned about my dissapointment in my purchase of my puppy from her. She has given me a replacement puppy and is allowing me to also keep Bubbie( first puppy). It was more than fair of her to allow me to also keep Bubbie because I have bonded with him and it would break my heart to have to give him back. The replacement dog was valued the same as initial purchase price of the first puppy. She has done her best to make sure that I am a satisified customer. I have regrets about filing my first report without giving her the opportunity to rectify the situation.

Trying to give this breeder a chance to make things right

This is the third update I have written. The others have not been posted. Shannon seems to to be trying to make things right with me. I don't want to taint her reputation. I tried to get my complaint withdrawn while we are trying to come to a fair agreement. This website refuses to remove any report. I would feel terrible if I misjudged this breeder. I honestly believe that she will deal fairly with me. It upsets me that this website has not listed my updates.

Perhaps I misjudged this breeder

Since I filed my report I have been able to speak to Shannon about my disappointment. Giving my little Bubbie back is not an option because I am now bonded with him. He can't help the fact that he is huge. I will keep him as a neutered pet. She has suggested co-owning another puppy w/me that I could keep at my home. I am a little afraid of the problems that could arise in that situation. I told her that I would think about it for awhile. I really want a replacement dog. I want what I payed for. I tried to withdraw my report while Shannon and I come to some type of agreement. I would hate it if I misjudged this breeder. I am giving her some time to try to make the situation right. I am still not fully trusting but am willing to wait and see if we can come to some type of agreement. I will sent an update if we do.

I think perhaps I misjudged this breeder. I explained my problem with the amount of money I paid for Bubby and his growing size and she has offered me some options. I can't give him back because he is big, I am already bonded with him. He can't help the fact that he is a large chihuahua. We are trying to work out an agreeable option for both of us. I think the fair thing is for her to give me another puppy. We will see what happens. I will keep you updated. I want to keep my faith in there are still some ethical people out there. Not everything is predictable. I hope she tries to make it right. I would really hate it if I misjudged Shannon. She seemed genuine in her concern over my disappointment. I will update you on the outcome.
