Shaun LeClerc No pay for services rendered...and he kept MY tools! Canyon Lake California

I met Shaun through a friend of mine who was his housekeeper. I had been looking for a job and so she gave me his number. He had some home improvement things he wanted done, so I went down and talked to him. After agreeing to pay for all the tools I would need since he knew that I didn't have any at the time, and a price on all the work he wanted done, I hired a helper, and did the work, which took us a month and a half due to his only buying the materials he thought we would need for the day. We were constantly waiting on him to being more materials. He gave me $250 one time and a $250 check another time that bounced. The balance of the $1500 that he was supposed to pay me he never paid. Also he tried to knock the price of the saw that I needed off of my pay even though he agreed to supply that. Also he never returned my toolbox that I had left his garage expecting to come back the next day and get paid. He stopped returning my calls and will not respond now.I also found out that two other people that he contracted with have also been burned for $1000 to $2000. Don't do any work for this man. He's a user and will not pay you.
