Below is the email that got Home Depots attention, if thats all.
They contacted Shaw Carpets and a Inspector came out to inspect.
The Inspector makes his money from the Carpet Manufacturers.
I have tried to find a truly independent carpet inspector ... I am guessing there really isn't one.
I have come to the belief that Shaw Carpet warranties are not worth the paper they are written on.
The Home depot is no better as they installed the carpet and from the outset would not send someone to look at the loose carpet install.
I can't believe that these people just say its normal wear and tear... Tha is exactly the reason we were given. UNBELIEVABLE! and we are only left with this as to make others aware of what goes on with these companies.

Hi L*******,
Further to our meeting at Home Depot.
Please find Pictures attached with some of the Carpet history below.
Please note that there are only 2 people over 50 that reside at this residence.
I (Neville) can always be contacted on *************.
Within the first month of the carpet installation we had concerns about the amount of fiber being released by the carpet.
When we vacuumed we would accumulate a small zip lock bag of carpet fibers.
When we cleaned the carpet the carpet would form usually 5 or 6 “hills”. These “hills” were not because of wet carpet,
the carpet would be dry and the "hills" would still be there. These would flatten down in a couple days.
We previously submitted pictures and expressed our concerns on several occasions to Home Depot about the amount of fibers
and were told the loss of carpet fibers was normal and were told carpets lose fiber for a year. After the first year, we again
expressed our concerns and were told it might have been the “carpet installation”. The carpet was installed by a home depot.
How a carpet if installed incorrectly can be the cause of a huge amount of carpet fibers being released from the carpet is beyond me.
pictures. That has led to this letter and photos that I understand will be passed onto Shaw Carpets, the manufacture to look into this matter.
As you can see in the attached photos the carpet is getting thinner and thinner in the general walk areas.
Yes, fibers also are released from that area when vacuumed.
Attached are some photos of:
This one showing the differences
How the fiber stands on end after vacuuming. These were taken more to the centerof the room.
Within one or two vacuums, it will be released by the carpet and sucked into the vacuum cleaner.A two minute vacuum last Sunday morning shows the fibers being released from the carpet.
