My wife and I went to this place on a Saturday evening and met with a used vehicle sales rep. He already had ALL the info and credit info since earlier in that day when I faxed and emailed him with it. He then did a credit check and went right to work on finding a lender for the financing. Once we arrived, he stated he was going to get the keys to the 2008 blue Chevy Silverado 1500 with 25,000 miles. 35 minutes later he comes back with NO keys and says the lender is requesting a different truck that they can finance much easier. So the sales rep stated he has another 2008 white Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with 51,000 miles on it. It was a fleet truck used by the Michigan Dept. of Transportation. Still in really good condition and clean. No price on either truck, but since I already did my inventory search online before we went, I knew what the price was. It was actually $1,200 MORE than the original truck I picked out. So we went for a test drive and I liked it. Once we got back, he went to the finance manager and was gone for over an hour. When he finally found his way back to us, he sat down and said we needed $1,500 down and the payments were going to be $537 a month for 60 months per the lenders agreement. Let's see, a $18,000 truck price tag and at the end of 60 months I will have paid over $32,000 for this $18,000 truck. NOT HAPPENING! I told him to find a different sucker for that deal. He left and said he was going to try and get a better deal. 2 hours later he found his way back again and said that was the best offer cause of our credit history. Oh well, I will bite the bullet. Then he said we needed to write the two checks out for the down payment and sign the agreement about the price and payments. So we did. The contracts were almost completely signed and we could drive the truck home. HOLD UP! The finance company is closed and now we have to wait until MONDAY to get the final approval. So Monday came and went. No call, no email, no pigeon carrier service, nothing. I called and emailed and still nothing. Tuesday morning I found them on facebook and commented on their wall. Someone from this place commented and said someone will call me right away and do what is right. He also said this dealership is sorry and doesn't treat people like that. So that was at 8am. Noon came around and still no call. So I called them. I was transferred to several people before I got to the finance manager. She said the lender backed out of the deal and she will try for a different lender if I wanted to. You mean to tell me between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon the lender backed out and you were going to leave me high and dry? I said I am tied of the run arounds, the lies, the broken promises and the disrespect. She said to give her a chance to find a lender and if she doesn't find one by 3pm CST, that I can pick out a compact car and then the deal will go through. Then she told me the deal is going to be hard because I picked out a very expensive truck. Wait a second, I didn't pick it out. The sales rep did cause he said the lender requested it. I told her that I picked out a truck that was $1,200 LESS and it was rejected.  She told me that I should stop in and check out the inventory of CARS and see what I would like. I can do that from my home online. DUH! I didn't go there for a car, I went there for a pick up truck.

So then whoever runs their facebook page removed my comments and feedback, blocked me and then reported me for slander. I never said anything to them in any form of slander. Oh well. Then I called the dealership and the finance manager around 2pm. Nobody wanted to take my call. No voicemail was available either. So I kept calling and still no answer. Not one person picked up the phone. So I sent an email telling the finance manager and sales rep to cancel my contract and shred my check for the down payment. I also wanted a reply back letting me know they received and accepted my email. It's 3:15pm CST and still no reply.

This is the kind of treatment you would expect from a run down, scamming, trashy place and not a well taken care of place with sales people in suits and ties. We're talking about an actual dealership selling NEW Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler's.

Never will I go back there, refer anyone to this place, or even give positive feedback about this place. I wasted to much time and energy on dealing with this childish games. I have enough stress as it is and don't need this joke of a place to cause me more.

Ken: I wouldn't say in the crapper, but my income is self-employed and they were okay with that since I had my tax records to show for it. That was the issue as of Saturday, but as of Monday I wouldn't know. Now Tuesday, when I called, they said it was cause my wife's employment is through a temp. agency and they don't value that as a credited employer. Yet she has been at the same place for 3 months and was just hired on by the place she was at. The dealership wouldn't even call my wife's HR Manager to verify. The dealership said it was a waste of their time.

As for JD Byrider... the one local to use has already tried their scam with down payments. They were going to differ the down payment since we were sent by a recent customer of theirs. Then when it came to the financing, the story changed and the final price was added of a $1,200 down payment. BUT they wanted $600 by the end of the week and another $600 a week later, then 2 weeks later vehicle payments of $602 every 2 weeks. I said heck no and left. The sales person there, Richard, said I am a loser and will always remain one. Then yelled in the parking lot that I my business is worthless and wouldn't hire me to water his lawn. I told him he lives in an apartment so why would anyone need to water his lawn? He didn't know what to say.

Just seems people take other people for stupid idiots. We play their game, but know better and when to call it quits. They just want that sale and make that $50 commission. Not from this person they won't. Well, not this time.

Left for hours?

You said the salesman left for an hour one time and 2 hours the next time?

I would have been out the door long before an hour was up.  I MIGHT give them 10 minutes.

As soon as they start playing stupid dealer games just leave.

The first thing you need to do is get your financing in place before you ever darken their door.  Then they can't screw around with you so much.

Not sure if you were Ripped Off or not....

my bet would be that your credit history is totally in the crapper...how'd I do?

I think they, and/or the lender, decided to bail on the funds. NOBODY is REQUIRED to loan you money.

Guess you're stuck with J.D.  Byrider or some other deadbeat car lot.
