Shih Tzus By Burnwood Scam artists Raleigh North Carolina

In March, my mother was looking for a Shih Tzu. It was going to be her birthday present. After contacting the Burnwoods by email and phone, she had gotten the price of the dog she had wanted. I later called up to confirm this through the number listed on the website, but no one answered. It seemed funny, but I decided to email them. I emailed them about my mother and the dog, and they told me the price of the dog and how much I would have to deposit. They never told me when I could have the dog. I thought it over and decided to get my mom the dog, and order two more. I then emailed them asking how much would it be for two dogs. They replied the dogs were 850 about each, I was not given a definate number, and boys were less and if I ordered all 3 at once they would give me some type of discount.

I thought it over because I still had a weird feeling. I decide to order the dogs and filled out the information they requested. Part of this was refferals by other dog owners and your vet. I called the other dog owners and my vet, after I was apporved and they all said no one called them asking about me and how I treat my animals. I also asked after that and once again was told they got no calls from these people. It just seems odd they would ask for these numbers but never call.

After being approved and them getting money through paypal, I emailed them to know how much I still owed and when and where the dogs would be sent. I lived in another state. I emailed them twice asking this, as did my mother, and they never said when the dogs would be sent. Just how much I owed was listed. All of the dogs were 850 each. So, after the deposits, which came out to over $600, I still have to pay $1,200. Despite one of them being a boy and them saying I would get a discount. I emailed them this in a reply, and they calimed that was not true. I decided to let it go.

A week passes and mom wants to know when we'll have to go to the airport to pick them up. I send two emails, and my mom sends out some more. We get no reply for a week. During this time, of no replies, the website was updated and more pictures of dogs were added. In the emails we got, we were told their internet was down. Still no word of when they will come. I told my mom this is a scam. She said give them one more chance.

My mother emails them and asks again when the dogs are going to be shipped out. She leaves her phone number and gets an email stating their internet is down again and they will call her, but they don't leave their number. That night, a Tuesday, she recieves no call. We waited until the next Tuesday and they didn't call.

We decide we no longer wish to do business with them. I send them a polite email stating so and my number. A few hours later, I get an email and two calls. From two different women both claiming my sister called you and no one picked up and emails were sent about the shipping that weren't. I once again brought up the discount and they both informed me "their sister" must have said and she doesn't handle those things. I informed them I would no longer be buying the three dogs and they tried to sway me to. Despite how much they claimed they wanted my business they would not give me the once promise discount or knock off money on the male puppy. I confirmed I was no longer buying from they. They informed me this was fine, but I would not be getting my deposit back.

I filed a claim against them with paypal and they wrote nasty comments about me. Calling me rude names and using curse words. They also threatened legal action. This just reinforced how professional they were to me. After having my credit card companies, and bank, investigate this I got my money back. I also asked these companies if the Burnwoods ever said any thing in their defense to which they all replied the Burnwoods never contacted them in the alloted time.

Despite them not giving me a dog and ignoring me, they felt they were entitled to $647.97 of my money. I think they feel they're too good to earn their money like everyone else.
