I went into the store on a Friday afternoon with a Standard Airbill to ship an Fed-Ex envelope overnite to Pa. I was VERY clear that this must be there on Monday. The Worker had some issues, but got it entered. I was VERY clear about the zipcode and the name of the city. They changed it to match their computers address. Again, I was VERY clear not to change it and ship it to the address I had given them. I left the store once I saw that the envelope had label attached. Monday, the envelope didnt show up in Pa. On the tuesday I went back to the store to find out what happened. I was told that it was prolly the reciever didn't get it- because they didnt look for it on Monday. The tracking information clearly shows that it had deleiverd on Tuesday and not Monday. I called Fed-Ex and they made a note in their system that the shipper should refund the shippment-but I would have to return to the store. Wednesday I went back and was told- because I gave them the wrong zipcode- that it was my fault that it wasn't deleivered ontime to the receiver. I pointed out to them I work for another Fed-Ex company and that this was total BS. They refused to refund my money for their mistake with the name of the city and changing the zip code I had given them. I contacted Fed-Ex and they will be refunding me directly.

FedEx employee Does Not Know Rules

AUTHOR: Mail And More, Etc. Llc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 18, 2008

It is our policy to provide 100% customer service Everytime we help a customer.
QUOTE:"I was VERY clear not to change it and ship it to the address I had given them." said by our customer. We explained to this "costomer" that the package would have problems getting to the destination (Pottstown, PA) because he was giving us an incorrect zip code. It was a zip code for King of Prussia, PA. He insisted that these were "legal documents and we needed to follow the format on said documents." We gladly processed the package and explained to him AGAIN the package would not arrive on time with an incorrect zip code. The following week the package did not arrive on time and we were told by our customer that we were "incompitent and idiots and that he worked for FedEx." The entire United States shipping system is based on zip codes. We explained we could not give a refund because we were given an incorrect zip code. Our costomer still insisted that zip codes had nothing to do with the routing of packages (and yet he works for FedEx remember) We called FedEx and they would not issue a refund either because an inccorect zip code was given. This costomer is telling an untruth about FedEx refunding him directly. We were told by FedEx that, "the only reason the package did arrive on Tuesday was because our employee wrote the correct city, Pottstown on the label." Props to our employee and their excellent customer service. I am very proud of the job we do to serve our Tomball (and surrounding area) customers with all of their shipping and mailing needs.
