I was credit approved, income verified, and landlord approved. They tried to charge me triple move in. 
Let me break it down. First and last months rent. Plus deposit the same amount of rent. Re- key fee. Cleaning fee, and pet deposit. 

Totaling almost $3450.The rent was only $950. Not a house within 100 miles cost that much to move in. This was Surprise,AZ. Not Scottsdale. They waited till a week before I had to move from out of state. 

They asked my San Diego Attorney, current landlord, for copies of all transaction between him in I in the last 3 years. Illegal. Then they didn't ask but tried to put me in the situation where I had no other choice waiting to last min paying outrageous fees. 

Luckily I was not born yesterday. I had a plan b, c, d. It is against the law for Arizona Property Management to ask, expect, or hint for triple deposit. These guys are con artist. Run!!!!!!
