I have recently purchased a Panasonic 46' Plasma television through Shop Digital Online. The price was the most responable and the Television had wonderful reviews from buyers all over the United States...a total steal at roughly 1200 dollars! I made the purchase, after googling many other companies online, finding that the purchase was the most resonable through this susposedly wonderful Online company...

Come to find out, purchasing this TV on December 1st, was one of the worst mistakes I could have done. After speaking to a customer service representive through the phone, placing my order, the person on the other end, being quite polite and excited to help me, had told me that my order was being shipped and would arrive to my house in two weeks at the latest and that I would get an email shortly on my tracking number. I hung up the phone being quite enthused about this wonderful surprise Christmas gift my boyfriend was about to receive.

I called about a week later because I had still not received a tracking number through my email. Confused and fustrated, I wondered if they had just forgot to send me the tracking number. The lady on the other end then proceeds to tell me that my purchase was on backorder and after trying to get information on when it was going to be shipped through BAXX Global, the TV would arrive about a month and a half AFTER the hollidays. I asked the lady what I could order from them that they had in stock that was the most compairable. She proceeded to tell me that they had the exact same TV on their floor but was a "CORPORATE PACKAGE" which included the five year warrenty and cables, etc. etc. for 'only an extra 450 dollars' and promised me that it would be shipped in time for Christmas. I procceeded to accept the order, now making our grand total to 1650 dollars.

Then the package arrives on December 15th, after the driver for BAXX Global had gotten lost, refused to drive into our driveway (which is about a quarter mile long) and asked me to sign for it....I proceeded to sign for the package noticing that there was no sign of damage on the box. No problem...however the surprised is ruined as I obviouslly needed help from the boyfriend to get this hundred pound box up the driveway in the snow.

All excited to open the box and see his early Christmas prestent make his face light up, we proceed to cut open the box....instead of a glow, his face turned to anger...the TV was cracked completely down the middle from the inside...and was not usable!!!! I begin to cry...and immidetly called Shop Digital Online to tell them of my newfound issuse. They told me I was to call BAXX Global to file a claim, therefore this is what I did.

It's now the day after Christmas and I am wondering if there is any newfound information....so I called BAXX Global, and they proceeded to tell me that the claim was not faxed until the day before Christmas. I told them that I had allready filed a Claim, however, they said that the claim was to be done in writing only, not verbally...more fustrated that I was not notified of this and things were in delay yet again, they asked me to check back with them in another week.

Another week goes by...I contact Baxx Global and they told me that the claim was denyed because I had signed for the package. I then called Shop Digital Online to find out what is to be done next....

The guy at the other end had told me that they were still waiting for the claim to come back from the shipping company....WRONG! I called him on it..and asked what REALLY was going on....He then said that they are dealing with their insurance company and that it would be another week and we would have our new television shipped to us. Fine...yet another week....

I called back Shop Digital Online and ask to speak to a manager...the person on the phone informed me that he was the manager...I asked him if there was anything I could do to speed up the process...however, he told me there wasn't...I asked him for the number to the insurance company, and he refused to give it to me....and said that this sould be resolved in another week not being able to take it anymore, I hung up.

I called back up the next day...and asked to speak to the manager...and gave him once again my name and order number...he asks how he can help me...and I told him that I needed to get this resolved...he then trys to tell me again that he was waiting for the claim from BAXX Global to go through....I then lost my patience!! I told him that it was total B**** S**T....the guy said that what happens in an issue like this is that we re-order another TV to have it shipped again...I told him that I was NOT WILLING to reorder another TV, and that I wanted my money back. He then told me that he would be willing to pay 550 dollars toward it and eat the "loss" himself. I asked him why I had to dish out another six-hundred dollars to replace the TV that showed up broken. Then I preceed to tell him to talk to the owner of the card because we need to resolve this. My boyfriend picked up the phone instead...and I guess the "manager" told him that he would only pay 300 now because my boyfriend got 'angry' with him over the phone...

Now here we are on Feb. 13th...Channel 13 News WGME has interviewed us today...we talked to our layer, and found out perhaps the only way to resolve this is to take them to Springvale District court, and even then he can't promise us that we will get our money back...

Merry Christmas to us....we now still have the broken TV in our breezeway and paid 1600 dollars for it! Doing some research we found out that New York State has deemed Shop Digital Online has an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau.....What are we to do now??? Any suggestions, comments, etc. would be appriciated....Please help us or anyone else from being ripped off from this scam of a company! Shouldn't there be laws to protect us??? HELP US RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM!!!
