Shop NBC/ Protron/ Spectron Do not buy, Do not trust, Eden Prairie Minnesota

Hi All,
I am another buyer of the apparently useless product that was sold to me by SHOP NBC. Purchased a 32 LCD Protron flat screen on on June 01/2005, cost of the product was $1499.00 TV, $149.00 mount and $129.95 extended warranty. The product lasted until March 08.

This is 7 months after the warranty expired. I called shop nbc they directed me to call a repair company. We did that in April. The repair shop explained to us that he would have to order parts from the maker in order to try to repair the TV. The repair shop tried for months to try to get a working number for protron. Finally, I called SHOP NBC and was told that the company changed it name to spectron and gave me the number. I called and got a person finally that told me all the repair shop had to do was to give them a call and parts could be ordered. Exactly, a week later the shop called Spectron and got a recording that the company filed bankruptcy and is not honoring warranty services contracts and parts.

Over the pass few days I have been reading the countless complaints on this product and how SHOP NBC has decided not to stand by its product. This is a grave injustice to consumers that brought a product that was told would last for years. I am willing to join any law suit against Shop Nbc/ Protron whomever they are calling themselves. I want to warn all buyers not to buyer from Shop nbc due to them not standing behind their product. I am out over $1800.
