Wow--I just found this site today and was amazed but vindicated by all the others having problems with the ShopNBC/V2Premier deal. I too was soo excited to purchase my first computer and the only way I could was via no pay for one year on ShopNBC credit card. I received my system in 3-03. My nightmare started, conveniently post the (30) days they allow any returns!
I first was denied the Lexmark Printer rebate--who puts the materials you need to send in On and not In the box--which I had thrown out. Then I had AOL billing me after two months of my six months free dial up for some stupid technicality no one at AOL told me to do. I had to get intervention from the President office at ShopNBC and these matters were resolved.

Then my third nightmare started. Long story short--the system crashed on Volume (c) FAT 32; I spend a total of five months on the phone with incompetent techs; sending me software twice to conduct ER recoveries that failed because I could diagnosis a crash is a harddrive problem; I had two in home parts sent and service calls; those parts turned out to be defective; I then was forced to send the tower into them for repairs (I made them pay for the packing and shipping). Throughout all this, I was refused my repeated requests to just return this entire system and be left alone because it was over (30) days.

I then appealed to ShopNBC President office again; I was refused the return beyond (30) days; I then asked, at the least, that I have my warrenty and pay date extended to accommodate me for the (5) months of full system usage I lost and I was told I would need to pay for extended warrenty! I think I have paid enough in lost time and aggrevation!!

I currently have letters into the BBB, Consumer Reports, local networks and anyone else I can think of to warn others against this product and get some investigatory work done.

Has anyone else been successful in returning this pile of junk after the manufacturer (30) day policy?

Stay away from this ShopNBC/V2Premier collaborative hoax!!!!!

uPDATE TO 12-7-03 REPORT: I had asked if anyone had been successful in returning this piece of junk computer system after the (30) day Viscom No return policy. I got no response. I kept the heat on through ShopNBC; I involved BBB, local TV channels and anyone else I could think of. I just got a return kit from Viscom--have had the system now (9) months with a loss of (5) months full usage. Tho extremely time consuming and frustrating, my efforts seem to have paid off and I'll be returning this piece of crap.
