In mid September I ordered from Buy.com and upon finalizing I recall a pop-up that seemed to be from Buy.com for $10.00 off my next purchase. Later, after reading one of the emails I received from ShopperDiscountsandRewards (that shows the last 5 digits of my debit card) and realizing what was occuring, I called them to cancel the $12 per month membership that definitely wasn't mentioned in the pop-up, which they did without trying to convincing me otherwise. Then luckily in the beginning of December, I was planning to close the checking account that the debit card was drawing from and wanted to transfer funds into the zero'd account for one last debit, when I noticed the checking account was 49.95 in the red due a charge that day by a company (United Marketing Group (not affilated with ShopperDiscountsandRewards that I know of)) I never heard of before. Upon further checking my debit card records I found another 49.95 charge a month before in the beginning of November from the same company providing supposedly a different service with a different contact telephone number.

It seems to me too much of a coincidence under the circumstances that ShopperDiscountsandRewards and United Marketing Group aren't somehow working together. I haven't tried contacting United Marketing Group as my bank asked or suggested; and why should I, so they can reverse the charges and say it was a mistake. If they had any correspondence with me (which I know they haven't), they can contact me and try to explain to me how they got my debit card information after last giving to buy.com.

This same report can be found under Buy.com and United Marketing Group.
