Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

I am sending this email to every Event Coordinator and to every mall that provides short term promotional leasing. I feel obligated to caution you about Jeff Drutz, his companies and especially Showsmart Inc.

Jeff Drutzs newest company is called Showsmart Inc. They will contact you and request booth space to display a car in your event or location. They will say that they are a marketing company and/or a tradeshow directory and/or an event community. They will say that they are displaying a car and having a free draw for people to enter win a car. Sometimes they will say that they are giving everyone who enters the draw a free cruise. However, more recently they have encouraged their event bookers to not mention the free cruise as it often will be a red flag to the event Coordinators/Mall Leasing Agent that something is not right.

They say if something sound to good to be true then it probably is. [continued below]....
..... Well I will tell you that Jeff Drutz is no philanthropist giving out free cruises and cars because he wants to make people happy. There are some serious catches to what is going.

This car will not actually be given away, but rather this company will claim they will hold a draw for a certain amount of money towards the purchase or lease of a vehicle (which they are very careful to hide from the participants). These cars are being provided to Jeff by local car dealerships in order for them to get free exposure. Jeff will put up some little signs to give the dealership some exposure for advertising but then he will have much bigger signs saying: FREE DRAW, WIN A CAR. His company will hold this "draw", which in Ontario is not regulated and no one really knows if the prize actually makes it to a contestant. On top of this it is Jeff himself is the one who does the actual drawing. Last year they did give away a car; it was a kit car that barley drove and that was not certifiable.
Jeff Drutz knows how to manipulate. His business revolves around manipulation and deception.
All of Jeffs companies will go to 100's of other events and locations throughout North America and hold the same draw, generate 100,000's of Leads, where they will make large sums of money by selling the leads for big money to sleazy timeshare companies. The timeshares will telemarket/spam each person who filled out a ballot and tell them that they have won or were selected for a free cruise or vacation. The timeshares that Jeff deals with, they have discovered that it is the same people who are nave enough to think they may win and enter a shady draw that are nave enough to believe it when the Timeshare calls them up and tells them that they won. The people who actually go down to the timeshares are the people that are gullible and in turn the perfect victim to sell crap to. So the timeshare tells them that they won or were selected and that they are getting a great vacation. The vacation is a visit to a timeshare seminar where there will be an insane amount of pressure on the Winner to buy into their Timeshares. On the phone while the Winner is claiming their prize there will also be a lot of additional pressure for that Winner to upgrade their stay and buy this and that. Over all I have yet to hear a positive review about the whole experience and the trip ends up costing just as much as a nice real vacation without the pressure and seminars would cost.
In the more recent years Jeff Drutz has partnered up with Walter Ellwood. Together they have found new ways to get into shows, get in at lower prices (if not free). What they are now doing is offering to do a survey on their Lead forms that will help capture the Demographics and Statistics for the event. The survey/statistics that they provide is not a good will gesture, it is specifically intended to encourage you to overlook their scheme and get into events that would otherwise not let them. I personally find it amazing how many events have gone for this, when in reality they could very easily be capturing this information on their own.
 The  Survey that Showsmart Inc. provides is also intended to have events over look the fact that they are taking business away from the very events that they need to sustain in business. How so? Well Showsmart will conduct surveys on their ballots: auto market surveys, financial surveys, business owner surveys etc.   these surveys are meant to trick people into thinking it is a harmless survey when in fact it is Lead Generation and these people will be telemarketed and spammed within a few weeks. This effects the event because now Showsmart can go to all these other companies/industries and say: Why would you pay that event $3000 to have a booth at this event when you can just have us do the event and sell you directly the information we collect at a lower price then what it would have cost you to pay the event for the location. So Jeff and Showsmart will now be taking business away from the event by encouraging others not to attend the event but rather just pay them to do it for them. So they get a booth at a discounted price (if not free) and then make money off of all the: Car Dealers, Insurance Agents, Financial Advisors, Website companies, Timeshares, home renovation companies and whoever else wants to get leads. They make a fortune from taking your business away and you are grateful because they give you a survey. Doesnt seem too fair? Dont worry Jeff Drutz is very good at figuring out ways to manipulate people, he has done it to many 100,000s of people.

Actually, if you google Jeff Drutzs name with the key word scam you will find many, many articles about him.

Jeff Dutz is by far the most Arrogant person I have ever met in my life. He prides himself for successfully 100,000s of people across North America . He is in the Business of Lead Generation. Getting the Names, Home Phone Numbers, Cell Phone Numbers and email addresses of massive amounts of people and then selling that information to whomever wants to buy it to use to Telemarket and Spam people. He does not respect the Do Not Call List, if anything he has turned it into his favor by having some very small legal fine print on the back of the ballot that pretty much says that because you filled out this ballot, his company or any other company that buys the lead will be allowed to call you and that you have gave your permission to be called and spammed regardless of if you are on the Do not call list or any other regulations. Showsmart actually pitches to clients that they do not need to respect the Do Not Call List because they got them covered.

Jeffs company has no respect for the Privacy Act. They do not properly dispose of the ballots that contain confidential information. Often you can find them lying around outside the garbage bin by Jeffs office. On top of improper disposal, all the information is being sent to Data centers in India where 100s of random people all handle the confidential information of others. It is a miracle that Jeff has not been sued and/or charged for his violations of the Privacy act. But I am confident that it is just a matter of time until he his.

Event Coordinators and Mall Leasing Agents must beware of this scheme. Do not let them ruin your reputation. They need you a lot more than you need them. You can very easily set up your own booths to get the statistics and demographics of the consumers at your events. Please no longer allow your visitors to be harassed for the sake of Jeff Drutz making a buck. When you allow Jeffs company into your location you are showing no respect for the very people you rely on to be successful.

Refuse them! You get a call from a girl named Olympia to book an event its Showsmart. If you get a call from a girl with a Polish accent, its Jeffs girl Roxana (but she will use a fake name). Don't let them take advantage of you and ruin your reputation. Have integrity and say no to Jeff Drutz and Showsmart Inc. If you do need vendors to fill spaces then just keep in mind that Jeff needs you to make money.
For anyone interested in buying Leads from Jeff Drutz, Marketing Aiming, Showsmart Inc. Why? Why would you waste your money on purchasing the contact information of people who are being telemarketed and spammed by everyone else that Jeff has sold the leads to. These people are furious by the time they receive your call or emails.
Jeff needs to be brought down once and for all. It is just a matter of time.

Okay so many, many people have been ripped off by Jeff Drutz. Many people have been harassed by either his former call center or a call center that he has sold your information too.

You should let him know how you feel.
