I have been contracted to do several mortgage closings since April 2006 and to date have completed $655 worth of billings. The accounts payable manager Brandy always says the check will go out next week, then again after that next week again. Then Brandy, acct payable mgr will never return calls or answer the phone. The only time I got her attention was when I made a complaint to the local BBB and she asked me if I would remove the listing.

The only problem I ever had with SOX was crappy closings but that was the lender's fault. They paid me $600 for a closing once where I drove 400 miles.

Yes, I finally got paid in full after 3 to 4 months of the run aroound. I don't know why they are threatening to sue me, but they know in their hearts that they are very bad at paying us notaries on time as per their contract.

this company has ripped off many notaries of their well earned fees by refusing to pay them and in a timely manner.
