Signet Financial Group Extended Warranty Ponzi Scheme Sacramento,  California

Unfortunately I also purchased an extended warranty from my local Toyota dealer in Corvallis when I bought a hybrid Camry in 2007.  Normally I scorn extended service contracts but this was for a new hybrid model and batterylife was an issue.  The warranty was unique in that it promised a full refund if no claims on the warranty were made.  Sounded like a combination of warranty and insurance...but the price was much higher than a typical extended warranty as I subsequently found.  Anyway when I went to claim my refund I find that the refund from Signet Financial was a mirage...they had gone out of business.  In Oregon there is a "settlement" offer to pay !7,000 over 15 years  and they sold over 9800 contracts. Do the math...you will be lucky to get $10 of your $1200-2800 promised refund.  The dealers who aggressively sold these warranties at inflated prices are now disclaiming responsibilty though they were like pigs at the trough when there was money to be made...I figure the warranties generated 10 to 20 million dollars of revenue in Oregon alone were 9800 contracts were sold.  The warranty I purchased was packaged with a display Toyota Platinum Extended Service Contract.  At no time was I informed that the refund provision was service by another organization...I trusted my dealer and Toyota label.

As the Taylor Swift song goes.."I will never".....purchase a Toyota again!
