Me and 9 other co-workers found out that the JCC was doing a basketball league. And all of us deceided to do it. It would cost $450.00. So we paid for it. Deadline was september 8th which was a friday. But we paid on September 7th to be on the safe side. We were told that it looks like they have about 5 teams that is going to play that included us. We were excited. The first game was to be on September 14th and we will be playing at the 6:30pm time slot which was good for all of us. The other slot was 7:30pm. The weekened came and went. The following tuesday we ordered team shirts and were told that the shirts will be ready by game day which was perfect. Okay here is why I am writing about this story. Wednesday September 13th in the afternoon we received a call from JCC stating that the first game is cancelled due to not enough teams. We were told they cant run a basketball league with just two teams. Right there and then we were all mad. Why you ask because the deadline was September 8th. If they did not have enough teams they should of phoned us on Monday and give us the option like they did that Wednesday afternoon saying to us I can refund you or you can wait another week to see if more teams sign up. So they phoned wednesday we got the shirts tuesday. If we were phoned on Monday like a professional would do or just out of common courtesy we could of saved money on the shirts. But thats not the biggest gripe. Because we can use the shirts any time when we get together and play basketball. So after all that, we asked to get out money back on September 15th. Sorry to say 7 phone calls later and a month we finally got our money back. It took them a month to return what was not theres to begin with. Thats Not right. And to think about it 4 of us were thinking about joinning up. Not now. Well Stick with the YMCA.
