On July 12,2006 I bought the PhotoShow Delux4 Combo pack from SimpleStar.com. They sell software to help turn your pictures into fun movies that you can then burn onto dvds. The price for the delux4 pack that I bought was $66.98. Before I gave out my credit card number I made sure they had the following: A refund policy, and a phone number for customer care. They had both besides help at the web site!

The software seemed to do just what SimpleStar said,but when you burned your show to dvd everything was so blured you could not see most of it! I worked with it for the next 9 days in hopes it would work. It didn't!

On July 21,2006 I requested a full refund of my money. Refund policy is within 14 days. I was within the 14 days and never once thought that this would become the problem it has!

July 23,2006 Reply from SimpleStar: As requested,a refund has been processed for the PhotoShow order, and your credit card company should post the credit back to your account within the next 7-10 business days(but can take up to 4 weeks depending on your credit card company). Sound good. Right? I knew it never took my credit card company more than 3 business days to post a credit, so all was good! WRONG!

On Aug.5,2006 after talking with my credit card company and finding out they had not heard anything from SimpleStar, they had me fax them the e-mails the had been sent and asked to to write out another request, which I did!

On Aug 11, 2006 another e-mail from Simple Star Support:
Thank you for contacting SimpleStar; I am sorry to hear that you have not recevied your refund. I noticed that your account was still in the Cancel Pending state. I have contacted our credit card proccessors to ensure that they complete the refund process. Please contact me if you have not received your refund in 7-14 days. Best Wishes Zo Silver SimpleStar Support!

What a line of BS! I guess this person didn't read the e-mail that was sent on July23, that said the refund had been processed!

Seven days later with still no refund, I called the customer service number only to be told that they don't deal with those problems and I had to write to: Senior Level Manager..level 2@ simplestar.com, sounds good..that is who I have been dealing with, so again I wrote about my refund!

Aug.21 another e-mail from Zo Silver at simpleStar: Hello Mary, It appears that your order has been canceled. Please let me know if you have not received your refund this week. Best Wishes..

How coud my order have been canceled if I all I have been doing for the past 36 days was asking for my refund? CAN YOU ALL SAY RIP OFF!

So here I am at the best site on the web, looking for any help I can get!

Stay Away from this company, unless you can afford throw away your money. I can't.
