Simplicity Gourmet - Equitable Acceptance Deceptive! Warning!! Pray off young happy Engaged Couples for own Gain!! Boynton Beach Florida

I wish that I did not have to write this report.

Simplicity Gourmet contacted me! I was a new bride-to-be, minding my business, in love, excited, and ready to begin planning my wedding and building my future. This deceptive company called me with a very friendly pleasant tone, asking me to come out to view some cookware products they sold.

It was very innocent. They said I would receive a 'free honeymoon' just for coming out! Of Course, young with no money, finishing up college, a free honeymoon was very attractive. Of Course, my fiance and I went!

We sat in a presentation for 3 hours and everything seemed great!! Until the speaker got to the price, thousands of dollars. But without credit, and poor, the seller assured me that I could stll own this product ( I did not understand credit previously, learned a lot through this experience). I though to myself, "how"? He said I could set it up as a 'Bridal Registry'. A bridal registry meant my guest and family could buy it practically for me. I was siked! I was aware that I would have to cover the balance but that was ok. My fiance and I would have full-time jobs and be better established by then. WRONG!

I had to make payment ASAP! We two are so poor and cannot not afford to pay.

Secondly, they led every guest to believe we could "try it out" and return it after 3 days if we changed our minds.

Wrong Again.

It took a month in a half before I received the cookware. I did not even have a chance. The contract gave me three days from the time of signing to change my mind.

I was told the opposite. I was told, " You do not need to read the whole contract, I will sum it up for you, basically it sayes..." I was told, after trying the cookware, that I could return it if I did not like it.

They pray off young, inexperienced, people. They also use this exciting time as a way to get through to convince you, knowing you want to start off right in your marriage/new chapter in life.

The thing that infuriates me is:

I was lead to believe that this cookware is greaseless cooking, does not burn, stick, and last a life time. It is surgical stainless steal, meaning Sooo very very healthy for me and my family.

Guess What? It burns, I Always have to use oil, things stick to it Every time I cook!!!!! I want my money back!!! I want to return it!!!! I was told I cannot get my money back or return it because it was already paid for. If I sent it back they would probably resend it to me is what I was told.

I am told I am stuck with this cookware that does not perform as they guaranteed!!!!!

How my days are spent today:

They call and harrass you at all times of the evening and eary morning. I have been called before 8am on a Sunday morning!! 7 days a week, non-stop. I told them my case and stated that I would get back to themm but they still harrass you.

Personal Note:

They have sullied my experience of being a Bride! I was happy and now I am stressed, have had hair falling out because of worry over the bills and harrassing calls.( I have been trying to let it grow long for the wedding, makes me mad!) I have this horrible thought attached to my being a bride!!

Every day I will cook in the future, I will have this horrible memory attached to liars. They are not upholding the standards of their promises!!!

I am in a bad situation now where I lost my job, told them and they still call anyways. I cannot even buy food to cook in the dumb cookware! I am dependent on others and my wedding date changed because we are in crisis mode (job I had while a student, couldn't keep me, let go).

I asked about a deferment, does not exist. At least student loans give you that much.

Simplicity Gourmet is unethical and bad business owners. They do not respect their clients. They do not back up what they say.

Please do not sign-up, any of you young couples out there! They are liars. They know you are happy and play on that. They do not tell you the truth about how you pay and about the product! I also am uncertain of this 'honeymoon now" I read another complain about Simplicity Gourmet on this site that stated that the honeymoon is basically a 1 star rating place that you attend.
With the cost of this cookware, I could have saved money to pay for a decent honeymoon myself!!

I get: A Crappy product and a crappy trip offer to go with it, go figure. They WIN by getting thousands of dollars, regardless, and you do not get a honeymoon or cookware that measures up. Obsurd!!!

Hope this agony does not occur again. A protest needs to be made! Take a Stand.
