I just tried to use Simply Moving Inc to move from a location in Arlington, VA.
About 7 minutes before the movers were supposed to show up, Tom called to cancel due to the fact that the movers were stuck at another location. When I asked him why he didn't call me sooner, he didn't have an answer.
Tom said he could either move me to another day or give me my deposit money back. I promptly asked him to give me my $140 back. Which he said he would and that he would send me an email confirming this action. So I had to find someone else on short notice because I had already coordinated the freight elevators for both buildings that I was moving in and out of.
Well, I am still waiting for my refund, hell I am still waiting for the conformation email stating that the refund of my deposit money has taken place.
All of a sudden my calls won't be taken (obviously screens calls or automattically sends the ones he ripped off to voicemail).
So I don't want to say that this company is a scam. However...TOM! WHERE IS MY SECURITY DEPOSIT?

I received an email from info@simplymoving.com stating that I was going to receive a refund of $140 for my Security Deposit. We will have to see if and when I receive these funds.
