I ordered a Singer Lazer vaccume, from an infomercial that I saw on television.

The infomercial, claimed that if I oredered 1 vaccume, I would recieve a second vaccume free, I would also receive a steamer, and a $ 25 walmart gift card for my order. The total was to be $ 99.98 cents + shipping and handling.

When I received my Vaccume, I received not 1, not 2, but 4, I did not receive the steamer or the $ 25 walmart gift card, when I received my bank statement, the Singer company hadcharged my account $ 453.70.

My son tried to call the companies 800 number and was put on hold on for over an hour the first time, and almost 2 hours the second, both times he was hung up on by the company without even talking to a customer service represenative.

My son then e-mailed Singer, and received an e-mail back stating that the company would respond within 48 hours, when the company did not respond, he e-mailed the company back, and received a notice that the company e-mail is no longer in service, in other words they are not answering phone calls, and not accepting e-mails.

After my son, called the company and was put on hold for as long as he was, we received a phone call from the company offering us the same vaccume, at $ 40 off the price they were advertising on thier infomercial.

For all of those of you out there that have been ripped off by the Singer company, and your Credit or debit card over charged, you can go to your bank, and reverse the charges, the bank will then try to, contact the company, and if they can't they charges will be reversed, and the money returned to your account. Visa, and Master, card, as well as American express do have protection against Fraudulent transactions, Please contact your Credit card provider with the Information.

You are so busy responding to all the complaints, you copied the wrong one into this report.

It seems that you are in a such a rush to cut and paste your carbon copy response to every report on here that you inadvertently copied and pasted a whole other complaint into your response!

I went on-line and "inadvertently" ordered the Singer Lazer Storm vacuum cleaner. I say "inadvertently" because I never actually confirmed an order; however because they require your credit/debit card number before you can go past page 1, my account was charged with ordering the vac.

The very next day (Aug 23rd) I noticed the charge amount was already deducted from my account. I immediately called the bank, but they told me there was nothing they could do about it.

I called the customer service line and was put on hold for well over 45 minutes. I tried the email approach (which while on hold, they tell you will provide "faster" service). The email response that I got back within the 24 hours read as follows:
Call 800-711-8357, the same number that said to send the email.

I have actually gotten through to a customer service rep on two (2) separate occassions. They keep telling me that the credit is "in the works" and even provide me with a credit transaction number! It is now Sept. 27th and I have yet to receive a credit to my account.

This company is most definitely a "RIP OFF"!! I am out $141.27 and no vacuum cleaner either!!
