Sitestar has acquired businesses and has many complaints regarding billing practices from consumers after the acquisitions.  If you believe that these practices are in violation of 15 U.S.C 1692 due to unfair credit practices and would like to participate in a class action suit against Sitestar, please comment.  I personally have standing under this statue due to Sitestar's attempt to bill me where no agreement exists after an acquisition of Jellico, an internet provider, and am interested in determining if other viable complaints exist.

- It sounds like your "claim" is that this company bought out your old provider and then billed you for services. It also sounds like you think you have some say in this acquisition and because they didn't get your approval first you don't owe them a single penny.  Most likely you took this thought and refused to pay them and the balance has now gone to collections.

I bet I am close.

If that is the case and the agreement you have with your original provider is like most other agreements they can sell your account to another company and you are still bound by the terms..and they DON'T need your approval.

By the way exactly which section are they violating?

using ROR to drum up clients to fatten his pocketbook. Gotta love these creeps.

Why does the site owner allow this type of "free advertising?"
