We were contacted, rather pursued by Hovey Eordekian Jr. To let him sell a car we listed in the Boston Herald for sale. He promised he could sell the car for several thousand more than we were asking. We paid him $595, and signed a contract. Never heard from him again. I did a little footwork and found that this is not the first time Hovey has had this issue. In fact, he has been enjoined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from ever having anything to do with buyung or selling cars again. Here is the Massachusets AG report from 1993 on Hovey and his pal Brian Kitteridge, DBA/ AVCAR...Souns familiar? I strongly suggest anyone who has been a victim of Hovey Eordekian and Skyline contact the Massachusetts Attorney General. We have.

From Mass AG report 1993:

AVCAR

"Commonwealth v. Hovey Eordekian, Jr. and Brian Kittredge, d/b/a AVCAR

In May, the Division entered into consent judgments with Hovey Eordekian,
Jr. and Brian Kittredge who allegedly operated a phony business of selling the
automobiles of private individuals for a sales commission, without ever turning
over the sales proceeds to the owners. The defendants allegedly contacted con-
sumers who had placed ads in newspapers to sell their cars. The consumers were
allegedly led to believe that the defendants, operating the business under the
name AVCAR, could obtain a higher selling price than the consumer would oth-
erwise obtain. Under the terms of the consent judgment, the two men are per-
manently enjoined from soliciting, selling, or accepting any fees in the consign-
ment, lease, sale, or brokerage of motor vehicles. Additionally, the judgment
also calls for over $800,000 in restitution, civil penalties, and costs; defendants
currently have no assets to make the payments. (M. Sullivan, McVey'

From Cranky

AUTHOR: cranky - (United States of America)

Sorry, Skyline, but Hovey always portrayed himself as either an employee of or partner in Skyline Motors. He always referred to his business partner at Skyline and putting cars on "his" lot. Skyline motors was advertised prominently on the contract signed. All materials relating to this matter have been turned over to the Massachusetts A.G. You will have to work it out with them. This deal was presented to us in such a way that we believed we were working with skyline and that we paid a Skyline representative $595.00 to broker a vehicle.
Maybe you should be more aware of who you form business relationships with and be aware of how they are using your name. I will retract nothing at this point, the Massachusetts authorities and possibly the federal authorities will figure this out, as they will aslo be directed to this site, and see that there have been fraudulent interstate transactions also.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Skyline Motors has terminated their vendor relationship with Starlink and Hovey Eordekian Jr

AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Hovey Eordekian has never been an employee of Skyline Motors. He was  a vendor placing consignment vehicles on our lot. Skyline Motors had no involvement in this contract  or processing fee. Our vendor relationship ended in the end of January 2010. Your Report is addressing the wrong company. Skyline Motors has never received a $595 fee from cranky in South Chatham Ma. Please correct your report because you are targeting the wrong company as we have never had business dealings with you. You may have with dealt with Hovey Eordekian who was a third party vendor with his own company. If we can help you resolve your issue in this matter that you have with Hovey Eordekian please feel free to contact us.
