I occasionally use the free Skype service to communicate with friends and family, and once, about two years ago, I purchased skype credit for $10 for an additional service.  Since then, I have only used the free Skype service. 

However, in late October 2013, two Skype charges appeared on my Capital One Visa card; one for $18 and one for $10, with both charges listed as "Skype communicatioluxembourg." 

Neither I or any of my family requested or ordered services for a fee from Skype. 

When I checked on Skype Communication Luxembourg reviews on line, I found a significant number of complaints from consumers for unauthorized or fraudulent charges against this company. 

When I called Capital One to dispute the charges I was given two options:  1.  Pay the Skype charges and retain my credit card number, or  2.  Capital One Credit Card can remove the unauthorized/fraudulent charges, but my currrent credit card will be deactivated.  This means I will have to wait 5 to 7 business days to receive new cards for our household.  In addition, I will have to provide updated credit card information to companies using automatic billing to my Capital One visa card.  This is a tedious chore I am willing to undertake to prevent Skype Communication Luxembourg from stealing my money.
