Slanted Fedora - Fedora Entertainment ripoff, non-delivery of goods, breach of contract Shawnee Mission Kansas

At an August 2002 sci-fi convention put on by promoters Dave and Jackie Scott, d.b.a. Slanted Fedora/Fedora Entertainment, I purchased two advance VIP tickets to the convention scheduled for the following year. That convention was at first supposed to be rescheduled from August 2003 to November 2003, but then was not held in November, either.

I requested a full refund of funds paid to the Scotts on November 20, 2003. No big surprise -- no response was ever received.

The Attorney General of the State of Kansas issued a press release on September 19, 2003, regarding their investigation of Slanted Fedora and the Scotts. Pursuant to that press release, I filed a consumer complaint the with KSAG's Consumer Protection/Antitrust Division on March 28, 2004. The AG's office never responded to my complaint, and I am still out a significant amount of money.

To make matters worse, the Scotts promoted a con in my area on June 13, 2004. While this was not the 3-day con I had paid for, I should have been offered compensation for having previously paid for the afformentioned con by being: #1 advised that a con was coming to my area, AND #2 offered admission in partial compensation for funds previously paid, which no doubt helped bankroll the 2004 con.

How can I be satisfied in this matter? To receive back the funds paid to the Scotts, and to see them put out of business, permanently.
