In February 2012 I went to SLEEK MEDSPA Burlington, MA for a free lipo consultation. I consulted with Rose McCarthy who gave me information about the procedure.
Few days later I called to schedule an appointment to meet with the doctor in Boston. I spoke to Jen, the manager at the Burlington branch and she suggested me to pay with my Care Credit since I was elegible for a one year 0% APR. I thought it was a great idea and allowed her to charge $4,200 on that card. I had all good intentions on meeting with the doctor and scheduling my surgery if I liked the doctor.

I went to see Dr. Thomas Walek in Boston a week later. 

As I arrived at the SLEEK MEDSPA IN BOSTON I greeted the three receptionists they asked to sit and after 15 minutes still no one gave me a form to fill out before meeting with the doctor. 

While in the waiting room I witnessed a patient leaving the operation room and immediately seating at the waiting room! The patient looked extremelly weak, pale, could barely talk while waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up. NOBODY from the front desk or a nurse also known as SALESWOMAN, gave this patient ANY attention, support or stopped by to ask how she was feeling... Finally her boyfriend arrived and they left.

One minute later a man (I later found out) it was the doctor, Dr. Walek, comes running out of the door where it was the operating room. He starts yelling to the receptionist and the nurse asking where the patient was? He then starts yelling at the nurse and telling her that the patient should be seating at the waiting rooms chair and she was suppose to have something else done before leaving... He was completely desperate and angry at the same time saying for anyone to hear that the patient could faint or have some serious consequences on the street (that section of Newbury St was under construction).

As you can imagine I was beyond horrified as I was asked to finally go to the patients room. The clients room was a match box so small I could touch both walls with her hands. I was petrified!

The nurse/SALESWOMAN then arrived and gave her a stack of copied papers with almost no ink. I could barelly read. So unprofessional!!! Dr. Walek knocked the door and I gladly put the forms aside knowing I would never sign a thing with them. All I wanted was to RUN FROM SLEEK MEDSPA ASAP!

I called the SLEEK MEDSPA clinic in Burlington and told Rose McCarthy what had happened. She was horrified and told me she was going to tell the manager immediately! She told me a person called Heraldo from the corporate office would be calling me and I would be in their priority list. I felt better... Heraldo never called.

One week, two weeks passes by so I called the manager Jen, to let her know that my Care Credit account still had their charge and the guy Heraldo NEVER called me.

Jen wasnt so simpathetic at that point and made sure I shouldnt be calling their office anymore because they arent the ones dealing with the money or my account.

I also called Care Credit to find out what I had to do in order to have those charges dropped and they told her over and over to have SLEEK MEDSPA give them a call and everything would be resolved.

More weeks go by and the stress and anger was raising.

I finally got a phone call from Heraldo who wanted to check my information before mailing Care Credit the paper work. I trusted him and felt relieved that finally everything would be resolved.

More weeks go by and when I called Care Credit to find out why the charge was still there they told me that they never got any paper work from SLEEK MEDSPA!!!!

I called Heraldo again on March 27 and told him that Care Credit was charging me $319.00. Herald CONFIRMED that the paper would be sent on March 30.

I called Heraldo twice, left him messages but he never called me back.SLEEK MED  customer service DOES NOT answer the phone and after a while It goes straight to Heraldo line. So frustrating!!!


I felt like a fool believing THEIR WORD and that everything was going to be resolved by SLEEK MED. What a dishonest company! I should have disputed this charge from the get go and NEVER believed one word they say!!!
Shame on SLEEK MEDSPA for being so dishonest! I guarantee their reputation is going down and I will do anything to have them out of business!

PLEASE get a lawyer and file a suit against them. LETS TAKE THEM TO COURT!
