I bought a bed for Sleepy's a year ago.  The bed they delivered was uncomfortable and boxspring was too high for my platform bed.  I had to climb up to get in bed.  After two weeks, I did a comfort exchange and they offered me a half boxspring and bed that was "sponsored by the chiropractic association" for comfort.  I now know what that means.  After 6 months, my husband and I both have been suffering from neck and back pain which has required medical treatment.  After going away and sleeping on a different mattress, our pain had subsided. One night back in our bed and the pain returned.  We are both going to a chiropractor and physical therapist twice a week, as well as taking pain meds.  I guess this is why the chiropiratic association sponsors this bed.  In any event, I've had an inspector verify that the bed and boxspring are both defective.  His fist sunk down to the base of the mattress with little to no pressure.  Now I'm just waiting in pain for corporate to get back to me.

out of luck....

While it is unfortunate that this issue has occured to you, you may be out of luck. By your own post they already did an exchange for you. This means that your original purchase date is STILL in effect. If you are past the one year mark, they are under NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to do anything for you. You may be waiting for a very long time just to get a NO.

A quick fix I found that helped my mattress was putting a piece of plywood between the mattress and box springs. I know it sounds sloppy but it definatly made a difference. As a handicapped individual with lower back surgeries under my belt, I tend to need a firmer mattress. This helped fix my problem and has given me a few extra years with the crappy mattress I have.
