I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from your company on August 7, 2015.

I had an appointment at 11:00am.  I signed in and there was a girl at the front desk.   She was pleasant.  She was the only person there outside of a nutrition class going on.  The phone was ringing, people were signing in and I was waiting.  She said that she was the only person there and that the girl that worked the front was out with a broken ankle.

I was weighed in and taken to a private room she told me that she would be right back.  She finally came back and started our session.  The phone kept ringing and she told me that she had to answer it.  While giving me advice and trying to explain the program she was advising people over the phone.  People were knocking on the door she had to leave and help people up at the front all the while leaving me alone.  She kept apologizing telling me that they were under staffed.  Really, my session should have been re-scheduled.  It was like she wanted to make a sale at the expense of me.

She flew through the session.  I was told that the initial session would take no more than 15 to 30 minutes.  It took well over an hour.    I feel taken advantage of.  According to the PROGRAM CONTRAC and AGGREEMENT #26963 that I signed says that all new programs include an enrollment and set-up fee of $300 which is non-refundable.  I was charged $489.  I was grossly overcharged $189.

She fumbled through some numbers and told me I was getting a good deal which was not true.

She asked me about any medications that I was taking and she wrote a few down and I had to bring back in the name of my blood pressure medicine that I was taking because I did not know the dosage.  I told her my pressure ran high and that did not seem to faze her.

She took my card and left to go charge it.  I didn’t think she was going to come back.  She apologized again, helping someone else.  Did not explain the contract or the refund policy and that is my fault for not checking into it further.  Not until I signed the charge slip that I read that if you have high blood pressure or taking medications for it I needed to consult with my physician.  I was not allowed to do that.

How slick and tricky is that.

I am so annoyed that I wasted a morning being ignored and charged for it.

I came back on that following Monday for my nutrition class and was interrupted again because of being short staffed.  That is when my actual blood pressure was taken and them telling me that I lost 2lbs.  I told them that I have not started the program yet.

I was the only one in class and was left because the teacher had to run the front end while the other person went to the bank to make a deposit.  What, not again.  Started the class again and was interrupted again because someone came in and she had to weigh them and take their blood pressure.  What is going on?  This is not the way to run a business and take people’s money.  Now I know this might not be the program for me.

I was told I needed to take buy all this extra food in order for the program to work so stupid me I did.  I then was told if I paid an extra $2,000 or $3,000 my program would be complete.  No way, this is not what I signed up for.  I felt that by them knowing that I paid $486 they were going to try to get it all.

I came back in that Thursday for a weigh in and no one was there but a person like me trying to lose weight.  I complained to him and he agreed with me that the program was misleading to get you into the door.  The program on the TV is saying that it would cost you $6 a week plus supplements.  That is what got my attention.

At that point I knew I got used and wanted to talk to the director or manager.  I was told that he/she would call me and instead I ended of taking to the very people that I did not want to talk to.  I again asked to talk to the director and was told that she/he would say the same thing they were saying therefore I did not get a call.

She went on to tell me that poor service means that they are busy and that I should understand.  No way, that is not how it is suppose to be.  She wanted to argue with me and did argue with me and I was done.   I wanted to talk to someone else and was not allowed to.  I was told that they could not give out any names or phone numbers.  Just take the money and hope that they will go away if they are not happy or have any complaints.  In other words handle it.

I am seeking a full refund of my money back.  At best I was overcharged and the contract states one price and I was charged another.

Please help me, I have done just about everything I can think of and have gone on the internet to try to contact the Corporate Office and file a complaint to retrieve part of my money back.  I have finally talked to a district manager in my area after about a month after complaining and she promising to present my request to the board to get my money back and get back to me but has not.  To totally ignore me and take my money is unheard of.  I paid for a full year of services and not a single person has contacted me. It is like I don't exist.  Take the money and run.  Something has to happen. A so called reputable business can't take  almost $800 from a person and have them sign a contract only to ignore them is in no way right or business like.  I signed a contact on the agreement to help me lose weight and help me maintain that weight and to me you have breeched that contract to me.  I know that I cannot get the money back for the products that I purchased, but I am requesting the actual payment to FIT4LIFE for the program for not fulling my contract.
