Smart Auto Warranty.com Buyer Beware-This company is only interested in getting your money. I purchased a "Bumper to Bumper" warranty that won't pay for my exaust manafolds!!! This should be a covered item that they are saying they broke due to a broken bolt and bolts aren't covered. Internet

When I was sold this warranty the sales person told me it was the best one and that it was true bumper to bumper coverage. Well it has been anything but, everytime I have tried to have them pay for service they have some reason that an item isn't covered. I have changed shops 3 times because I was told that the warranty would not cover the labor rate of the dealer or that the shop was charging to many hours. The latest claim thay told me that my exaust manifolds are not covered. So much for bumper to bumper! Keep your money people these guys will tell you anything to get you to sign.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer's posting. It is important to understand that sales organizations maintain no authority or discretion in the adjudication of claims. That responsibility rests with the Administrator of the contract. Similarly, if you buy insurance through your Allstate sales agent, Allstate is the entity approving and paying insurance claims, not the agent.

Each Administrator's contract contains specific Terms and Conditions which outline exactly what is covered by the contract as well as other important items such as claim procedures. We strongly recommend to all consumers to request and review the service contract information thoroughly prior to and after purchase so that they may get a clear understanding of the covered components associated with their purchase as well as familiarize themselves with the company backing the contract. At CARCHEX all contracts in their entirety are available for consumers to review prior to purchase and we proudly offer the highest quality products backed by top tier administrators and insurance carriers with a 100% 30-day Money Back Guarantee.

Thousands of professional repair and collision shops across North America utilize national guides such as ALLDATA to determine how much to charge customers for parts and labor for particular repairs. Service contract administrators also use these types of guides to determine how much will be paid toward a repair. Just as insurance companies do not allow doctors to charge unlimited amounts for a check-up so it stands to reason that a service contract administrator would not pay unlimited amounts for a repair. In this case, to date the administrator has paid 4 separate claims totaling over $1,800 towards repairs for Tim's vehicle, which is more than Tim paid for his contract.

While we attempt to make every customer happy with their purchase, inevitably there are some instances in which a customer may be dissatisfied with the results, whether justified or not. In all cases, we are available to work on behalf of consumers to help determine validity of any denial. For additional information you may visit www.CARCHEX.com. We look forward to the opportunity to serve future consumers thru our consultative sales process.
