Smart Move Auto and Synergy Acceptance Sold me a TOTAL lemon and same situation as the above consumers... Sold my loan to Synergy, lost TWO direct deposit authorizations and then wanted to charge me all kinds of money. Crazy and scary! Internet

I bought a car from Smart Move Auto in Denver, CO in December of 2007.  I was in desperate need of a car and having bad credit, I had no choice but to go to a buy here pay here.  I made all of my payments on time with Smart Move until they disappeared off the planet and then a Corporation by the name of Synergy took over the loans.  In Feb-March of 09, that is when everything went down hill with my loan.  I had NO idea where to send payments to.  I made phone call after phone call to find out and never had an answer.  At the end of March, my husband gets a phone call from Synergy saying they had my loan and I owed over 700 in payments.  He called me as I was out of town, and I was like DO NOT give them anything(as I did not know who they were.) 

When I got back in town, I talked to someone named Adam.  He told me what had happened... SO I was like, Ok, I sent them a check... THEY LOST IT!  So I gave them ONE payment over the phone and sent in a automatic payment authorization... They recieved it, so I thought everything was set up to go.  Adam had informed me they would start the auto payments the next week(third week of April now.)  So I just didnt worry about it after that... END OF MAY, I get a call from Synergy saying that I am 5, yes FIVE payments behind and that I needed to pay it all.  I was like what happened to my auto payments that were to come out???  Apparently they lost my auto draft form, so I sent in another(after having to report that credit card lost and getting charged 5 dollars from my back) as they told me Adam did not work there anymore and that auto draft form was lost.  Guess what, they lost he second form... THREE forms with very PRIVATE financial information had been lost...

Long story short, my loan was supposed to go for 26 months from start to finish(ending in Feb 2010.)  IT is now Sept 09 and why do I still owe over 4000 dollars when my original loan was 6900 and I am ALL caught up on payments?  I dont know what to do at this point.
