SMC - Specialty Merchandise Corp ripoff Company did not refund money when the entire package was returned Simi Valley California

This company is commiting fraud by not giving refunds.
I ordered this package and decided that it was not what I wanted to be involved with.

I called SMC to cancel the membership and I sent the unopened box back to them.

I was told that I would receive a refund upon receiving the box. I made a copy of the receipt that was in the packing slip and mailed it that day also.

The next time I called to check on the status of my refund they told me that they never received the box.
I have been in contact with SMC many times since Oct. 2006 and I am still getting the run around.
They told me that they never received the cancellation notice and they wanted me to send it again with the receipt too.

I did not make extra copies of this and it was sent to them twice already.
They still have $314.95 of my money and I have nothing to show for it.
I was also being charged for a website that I never had or agreed to at a monthly fee of $29.95
It took me 4 months to get a real person to get this cancelled and I have not received my refund from that either.

I was assured by SMC that I would not be billed for the wibsite when I cancelled my memebership.
Upon contacting them recently I found that my "membership" was still active and I cancelled it again this time by fax.

Someone needs to stand up and make this company pay people back!
