Leads for Jonathan Hay Publicity are acquired primarily through referrals. Sabrina Hale, Creative Director for Jonathan Hay Publicity stated, "we get contacted all the time, but we are very selective...we only take a handful of clients a year." Jonathan Hay Publicity is currently working with a small number of clientele in order to provide them with the highest level of service.

Once a potential clients signs on with Jonathan Hay Publicity they can expect the provided resources to bring their music to a higher caliber, "we’ll take their music and make the production better. During the onsite interview, Ms. Hale was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Ms. Hale explained that the clientele in the music industry often has the end goal of fame, which can lead to unrealistic expectations. Often times if a client is upset it is because their career is not progressing as rapidly as they anticipated. While Jonathan Hay Publicity has the tools and contacts to get the clients product in the right hands, how the media responds to the product is out of their hands. In order to combat any type of unrealistic expectations Jonathan Hay Publicity, "goes above and beyond for every client."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Ms. Hale explained that during their association with SMH Records. Ms. Hale explained that he was upset after he was not asked to continue working with Jonathan Hay Publicity, and he reacted through negative comments on Ripoff Report's website.

In order to assure future clients Ms. Hale expressed that Jonathan Hay Publicity's credibility can been seen through their high profile clients, and well has their ongoing connections with pop media outlets. Ms. Hale also stated, "we do credible stuff in the media all the time, media that requires background checks...it's a small industry to be honest with you so if you really do have a bad reputation you don't get very far. We've been doing this for a very long time. We don't have a bad reputation it just appears that way online, because of one person."

I'm a singer songwriter and performer I was on line looking for a publicist for my new album recorded in Nashville, and written with a top 40 charting songwriter. I find this JHP Publicity there site boasts such claims as representing (((REDACTED))), recording a song with Johnny Dep they own there own music label Hoopla Records. So I check them out on line can't find any bad reports there both on Facebook with tons of friends, so I think hey they must be real. I pay this guy over $1200 American he tells me his partner Sabrina will help me with branding, and build me a website, I call him after a few weeks go bye and no answer finally I get in touch and I tell him I haven't heard anything from this sabrina person. He says she is ultra busy woring for all these big shots and she'll get in touch don't worry, finally I talk to her and she hsn't got a clue about what to do, I'm making all the sugestions, so I wait another week as she is going to build me this top notch website, ike the one they have. Then nothing I don't hear anything, again I call her no answer I call and leave him messages, finally he calls me now he is a bit upset that I would pester them as they are so busy and they will get back to me. so I get an email with two font samples to pick from for my website, what? another week goes by a few pictures have been sent to them, a few replies have come back, but nowit's been six weeks and no site. So I email Johnathan I say look this isnt' working out, I have nothing to show for my $1200 no website, no promotional material at all, nothing is coming to fruition on our plan, I think I'll just have mymoney back and that's that. I get this long rant of an email letter telling me what a big shot he is, and how she is so busy and I'm lucky to have her and blah blah blah blah. So I email him back and say you know what that's not professional behavior at all, and I'll just let him deal with master Card. Now I get a longer email that is now threatening me, he will blogg on ever site there is about what a scum bag I am etc etc, don't ever try and bad mouth him and the great reputation he has built with the biggest names in show biz blah blah blah. So I chat it over with my wife and like fools we decide to let it go, as we don't want any bad publicity, what a joke, these people coldn't work at any publicity in the first place. So we cut our losses only to find out now over a year later that this guy is a scum bag! that has ripped off lots of people, Buddy if you are out there I feel bad for you, becouse what goes around comes around, and when your day comes around I think you are going to be very sorry. anyone who runs into this guy don't listen to his bag of B.S and keep your wallet closed.
